Sitrep of Anti-Insurgency Op: In a major joint operation,launched by columns from 31 and 36 Assam Rifles, along with a team from 11 Para (SF), on January 16 and 17 raided an abandoned United Kuki National Army (UKNS) training camp in the Kolchung area, under Henglep Sub-Division in Churachandpur,Manipur. The UKNA training camp was abandoned in a hasty and disorganized manner by the cadres after spotting the advance of Para SF towards their location. Recoveries: 15 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) with explosives, 8 country-made single-barrel rifles, 3 9mm country-made Colt Machine Guns (CMGs), 1 51mm mortar bomb, along with uniforms, boots, belts, and various other items.
