The IDF says troops opened fire on two suspects spotted approaching a military post in southern Syria on a motorcycle a short while ago. After the pair were identified approaching the military position, the soldiers began a "suspect arrest procedure," which included live fire toward the motorcycle. Both suspects were detained, the military says, without detailing their conditions. The incident comes less than a day after a suspect was shot dead while trying to breach an IDF post in southern Syria.

As of October 1st, for the first time since U.S. forces arrived in Afghanistan in 2001, there are no active U.S. soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan anymore.

https://t.me/milinfolive/180575 "From an interview with the then-Chief of Staff of the 61st Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) regarding the experience of the first clash with DPRK soldiers during the fighting in the Kursk region: "At first, we expected tactics similar to the Russian ones, but the reality turned out to be different. North Korean units operated according to classic—essentially Soviet—doctrines: using massed infantry lines that advanced across the field regardless of casualties. The first clash with them occurred on an adjacent sector of the front, to our left, and the way they advanced shocked even experienced troops: a solid wall of soldiers that was difficult to stop, given that we had long since moved away from the massed use of artillery against manpower in that specific format. This required a significantly higher expenditure of ammunition than the combat operations we were accustomed to; positions would literally exhaust their entire ammunition supply under the pressure of such waves. The defensive line began to buckle noticeably after encountering these tactics—withstanding such an onslaught was extremely difficult," stated AFU Colonel Artem Kholodkevych. According to Kholodkevych, the 61st Separate Mechanized Brigade’s first engagement with North Korean troops took place on December 29, 2024, near Cherkasskaya Konopelka. As a result, Ukrainian units were forced back in less than 24 hours, having expended nearly their entire artillery ammunition supply in the process. "I rate the training level of the DPRK units as high—they inflicted significant losses on us and made holding our positions much more difficult. It is telling that the first prisoners (https://t.me/milinfolive/139624) captured in this sector of the front were taken by a special operations unit. The prisoners themselves gave the impression of being elite, physically fit personnel," adds the former chief of staff of the 61st Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is worth noting that enemy claims regarding North Korean soldiers attacking in infantry waves are not entirely fabricated; in the initial videos (https://t.me/milinfolive/137690) of the fighting in the Kursk region, DPRK soldiers were indeed seen clustering in large groups and moving across the terrain in ranks."
