I will try to convey what our legendary percy sir explained to me. See, firstly you can already see it is creating a simple hashmap (ofcourse not treemap, they have special implementations) type structure for isActive in getEntitlements. Hashmap is basically like a dictionary in python (mind it, "like" doesn't mean equal, its just for ur understanding). It contains similar ordered key:value pairs, and here they are the active entitlements of user. According to revenuecat docs, this is the case used when app has implemented various type of purchases (user entitlements) and it has to check that atleast 1 (can be more) entitlement is present, or user has made atleast 1 purchase, so it can offer features accordingly. Now it's obvious if user has made a purchase, this hashmap will not be empty and isEmpty will return false, and if has not made purchase, it'll be dmpty and return true. Now time to see xor operation here. Here the two v0 are for different purposes, and you're wrong to assume the xor operation is between them. the first v0 is storage register, which will store the result of the xor operation, while the second v0 is the first operand of the xor operation. Now your question would be, what's the 2nd operand? if you see, second operand is clearly there as 0x1, so a xor operation is being performed between v0 and 0x1 exclusively (X'OR) in first case, user makes purchase, isempty returns 0 and 0 is xor'red with 1, results to 1 as it's logic. in second case, user doesn't makes purchase, v0 is 1 (empty hashmap) and xorred with 1, so outputs 0. Now these 1 or 0 is stored again in v0, and if you explore further, it is being used in isPremium of refresh status as directly a bool, if it's true, ispremium is true, and vice versa. Now what we did is, we changed that xor to or. what does this change bro? everything, cuz now this operation has only 1 input instead of two cases... yes, it will only output 1, irrespective of whether v0 has 1 or 0, because or operation has its logic like that, that even if one input is 1 (here it is 0x1 already), it will return true (1). So now ispremium becomes true always. Ofcourse you could now change other places after understanding the logic, like if you force isempty to return false, then too app gets patched, if you just remove xor operation and directly set v0 is 1, or you play with hashmap (etc etc.) Sorry for this dumb supernub explanation, this is what my noob brain got from percy sir. 🙏❤️
