In exchange for Russia ceasing hostilities and accepting peace proposals—specifically, signing a peace deal with Ukraine—Washington is offering over $1 trillion in joint investment projects with Russia over a four-year implementation period; notably, approximately $500 billion of this funding could become available as early as 2027. Furthermore, Trump promises to lift virtually all U.S. sanctions imposed on Russia by mid-January 2027.
