🇷🇺 Our International Students Took Part in the “YalGat” Forum From August 24 to 28, more than 250 participants gathered at the Izumrudny V. Dubinin Children’s Camp in Khovanshchina village for the “YalGat” Forum — and our international students were among them! 🤝 Members of our International Friendship Club took part in the “Dialogue of Cultures” track, where they had the opportunity to share their traditions, customs and personal stories with other participants. 🌎 Students from different countries showed once again that cultural diversity does not divide us — it brings us closer together. One of the highlights of the track was the “Map of Meanings”, where participants reflected on their experiences by creating cards featuring their own stories, ornaments and meaningful words. 🎓 Our students also joined the creative programme during the forum’s closing ceremony. 🇷🇺  International Students Explore the Legacy of Admiral Fyodor Ushakov 🎓On 3 August, with the support of the Coordination Center of Ogarev Mordovia State University and at the invitation of Olga Zetkina, Chair of the Union of Orthodox Youth of the Republic of Mordovia, international students visited the Cathedral of the Holy Righteous Warrior Fyodor Ushakov in Saransk. 🕊 During the visit, students learned about the remarkable life of Admiral Fyodor Ushakov—the legendary Russian naval commander who never lost a single battle. They also discovered his close connection with the Republic of Mordovia and why he was canonized as a saint by the Russian Orthodox Church. ✨ One of the highlights of the excursion was a guided tour of the cathedral. Students explored its history and architecture, visited areas usually closed to the public, and enjoyed breathtaking panoramic views of Saransk from the 30-meter-high observation deck. 🤝 The event offered international students a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of Russia’s history, culture, and spiritual heritage while discovering one of Mordovia’s most important landmarks. #MRSU #InternationalStudents

🎓A New Appointment at Ogarev Mordovia State University We are pleased to announce that Dmitry Evgenyevich Stolyarov has been appointed as the Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Security of Ogarev Mordovia State University, effective August 3. Dmitry Evgenyevich graduated from the Institute of History and Sociology with a degree in History and later earned a second higher education degree in Law from Ogarev Mordovia State University. From 1996 to 2026, he served under a military contract, where he was responsible for coordinating cooperation on economic and international affairs with one of the countries of the South Caucasus. On behalf of the international student community, we warmly congratulate Dmitry Evgenyevich on his appointment. We wish him every success in his new role and look forward to the continued development of the university's international cooperation, new opportunities for students from around the world, and the strengthening of our global academic community.   🎓 International Medical Students Gain Advanced Clinical Skills at the F.A.S.T. Summer School   🎓Five international students from the Medical Institute of MRSU—Esther Rebecca Itua, Youssra Dilmi, Amna Drabla, Zenal Abidin Asherif Siessil, and Chigozie Vianney Ogwueleka—successfully participated in the International Summer School "F.A.S.T.: Focused Assessment and Skills in Therapy", held from July 13 to July 24 at Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod.   🩺During the two-week intensive program, the participants attended specialized lectures, interactive workshops, and hands-on training sessions led by leading medical experts. They developed practical skills in emergency medicine and critical care, including:   🔹 Physical principles of ultrasound diagnostics and essential ultrasound equipment skills. 🔹 Clinical assessment scales and protocols for evaluating critically ill patients during practical training at the Academician B. A. Korolev Research Institute. 🔹 Focused echocardiography (EchoCG) for critically ill patients. 🔹 Ultrasound-guided emergency protocols, including the RUSH protocol for undifferentiated shock and the FEER protocol for cardiac arrest management.   🇷🇺Beyond the academic program, the students explored the rich history and culture of Russia through guided tours of the historic center of Nizhny Novgorod, where they discovered the city's architectural landmarks and regional traditions.   🔝Our students highly appreciated the opportunity to participate in the Summer School, emphasizing that the program significantly enhanced their practical skills, broadened their professional knowledge, and provided valuable international learning experience.
