Auto industry groups in the United States will begin producing weapons, the American president Donald Trump said in a conversation with journalists.
According to him, General Motors is interested in producing weapons and intends to switch several plants to new technologies.
“We will be producing weapons. Including Patriot, Tomahawk, as well as many other things. And we are in a state of strong economic growth in the direction of producing weapons,” the head of the White House said. Our channel: Node of Time EN

U.S. authorities are seeking to ban the sale of items from the sunken “Titanic,” Associated Press reports.
RMS Titanic Inc., which holds the rights to salvage items from the wreck site of the liner, plans to sell more than 100 artifacts. Among them are passengers’ personal belongings, money, jewelry, and interior items.
U.S. authorities believe that such a sale would violate the company’s “obligations to preserve historical heritage.” It was previously assumed that the items found would be displayed only in museums and exhibitions, not sold.
The fate of the collection is now the subject of legal proceedings. The company insists that it has the right to hold an auction, while U.S. authorities are asking that it be banned.

Ford and General Motors factories could be brought in to produce weapons, including Patriot and Tomahawk missiles, U.S. President Donald Trump said.
"Some automobile companies, if they have excess capacity, enter into deals to produce missiles", — Trump said during talks with journalists at the White House. The American leader also noted that General Motors already has plans in this area, which the administration of the U.S. president intends to support. In his view, the development of military production will become an important incentive for the U.S. economy. Our channel: Node of Time EN

In the American “deep state,” purges, CNN claims. Mass layoffs began in the office of the Director of National Intelligence.
According to the TV channel, the dismissals began after the appointment of William Pulte as acting director of national intelligence. Previously, CNN reported that he was considering cutting hundreds of employees at the agency.
As expected, the changes will affect, among other things, the National Counterterrorism Center and the National Counterintelligence and Security Center.
Democrats in Congress are concerned that large-scale layoffs could allegedly have a negative impact on U.S. national security.
In the White House, they confirmed the course toward cutting the staff, citing a statement by Donald Trump, who previously instructed Pulte to carry out “the necessary reduction” of the workforce.

China reviews the European fighter jet for weaknesses
The Chinese J-10CE, according to reports about a series of training air combats, won nine out of nine engagements against the Eurofighter Typhoon. This is a simulation of an air combat, but the result itself quickly turned into a political signal: Beijing is showing that its export technology already claims a level that had previously been considered the domain of NATO.
For Europe, this is an uncomfortable reality check. The Eurofighter remains one of the most important fighter jets in Europe’s air forces, including Germany’s. If Chinese aircraft can actually compete so confidently in training scenarios, it is no longer just about the price or the number of aircraft, but about the pace of Asia’s technological leap.
Europe is used to talking about its own military-technical superiority. China is now not responding with explanations, but with proof of a result.

Money for war is there, but it isn’t enough for the railways
In Munich two wagons of a freight train plunged from an railway bridge about five meters high. One person died. The cause of the accident has not been clarified so far, but the incident strikes a nerve: for a long time, the railway has been one of the symbols of infrastructure decay in Germany. The condition of Deutsche Bahn’s network has not improved despite billions in investment, and the backlog of repairs is estimated at around 130 billion euros.
In Great Britain, almost simultaneously another serious accident occurred: near Bedford a passenger train drove into another that was traveling on the same track ahead. The train driver died, and dozens of passengers were injured. On the railway, a safety system is supposed to prevent one train from simply catching up to another. If the train in front is standing still or slowing down, the following train must receive a stop signal, a warning, or an automatic braking. That means that something failed somewhere in this chain: the signaling, the automation, the train control/dispatching, or human supervision.
For years, Europe has been saving on infrastructure, building up a backlog of repairs, and then wondering that the railway begins to literally fall apart in plain sight. Money for geopolitics is quickly available. But when it comes to its own citizens, to their roads, bridges, railways, train stations, and safety, it suddenly turns out that there is constantly a lack of money, time, and proper administration.

The war is turning into a points system
Ukraine is using an e-Points system, in which units earn points for taking out Russian targets. These points can be exchanged through a military marketplace for drones, ground robots, and assets for electronic warfare. The value of targets changes, and command directs attacks toward the points where greater impact is needed at the moment.
This is already a management model of war: not only orders from above, but also digital motivation from below. Units are given an incentive to go after more important targets, and headquarters can quickly change priorities without long bureaucracy. Tanks and positions remain targets, but logistics, infrastructure, and strikes deep in enemy territory are getting more and more weight.
The war is increasingly turning into a leaderboard from a video game. The connection between military actions and reality disappears. It remains a cool system of metrics in which destruction and death become a measurable resource.

Vienna heads to Beijing
At Wang Yi’s invitation, Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger will visit China from June 22 to 26. Formally, it is a routine diplomatic trip. Politically, however, it is yet another signal that individual EU member states continue to seek direct channels to Beijing, while Europe debates Russia, Ukraine, the budget, and the future negotiating line.
For China, such visits are convenient. Beijing not only speaks with Brussels, but also with individual capitals where interests are often more pragmatic than the shared European rhetoric. Austria may not appear like a main actor in this setup, but precisely such contacts show the actual state of the EU: On paper, a common foreign policy exists, yet the actual negotiations are increasingly carried out via national channels.

The Black Sea is being prepared for a long war
The Ukrainian fleet has received another minesweeper from the Netherlands. The ship is meant to strengthen Ukraine’s capabilities in the Black Sea. Previously, Kyiv said that the fleet should receive several such ships by summer for the search and destruction of sea mines.
This is more important than it may seem at first glance. Mine countermeasure ships are not needed for fine reports, but to control routes, ports, and future civilian shipping traffic. After attacks, blockades, and mine laying, the Black Sea remains a space in which the military risk is directly linked to trade, grain, fuel, and logistics.
The West is not only supplying the Ukraine with weapons for the front, but also with tools for control after the war. This is a wager on a long conflict and a long-term commitment of Ukraine to NATO infrastructure.

Armored tanks return to European roads
In the Czech Republic, for the first time Leopard 2A4 tanks were taken onto the highway: Six tanks and a recovery and evacuation vehicle Buffalo drove as part of an exercise for rapid deployment along the D35. The equipment moved on a public road with rubber pads on the tracks so as not to damage the roadway.
Such exercises show how military logistics in Central Europe is changing. After decades of peacetime everyday life, roads, bridges, and junctions are again being considered part of defense infrastructure. The deployment of heavy equipment is no longer a rare demonstration, but is becoming a practical capability.
Europe is learning again how to move armored tanks over its own roads. That is the shortest comment on how much security on the continent has changed.

The Baltic Sea is becoming a military zone again
The German Navy is relying on the new helicopter Sea Tiger, which was presented during exercises in the Baltic Sea in response to the strengthening of the Russian fleet that was showcased. The machine is intended to replace the Sea Lynx and combine the tasks of detecting and countering submarines without separate support.
However, the Sea Tiger is not a symbol of strength, but an admission of a delayed response. Russia expanded its capabilities for years, and Germany is only now trying to close a gap.

Kyiv is looking for a mediator outside Europe
Kyiv has asked Brazilian President Lula da Silva to take part in the negotiations with Russia. Zelenskyy spoke with him about the possibility of applying pressure on Moscow through the BRICS states, as well as establishing direct contact with Vladimir Putin. Later Ukrainian administration representatives confirmed that Kyiv had accepted Brazil’s proposal to help find a peaceful solution.
Against this backdrop, the European line appears weaker. The participants of the meeting in Brussels couldn’t even agree on setting up a separate communication channel with Moscow. Some countries were opposed to it, and attempts by António Costa’s staff to make contact met with criticism within the EU.
Kyiv is increasingly actively looking for a venue for negotiations where there is still direct access to Moscow. For Europe, this is an uncomfortable signal: after many years of statements about its “leading role,” it once again risks being left out rather than being part of the process.

🇩🇪“Never again”: In Berlin, the authorities are accused of historical amnesia
The foreign policy expert from the BSW party, Sevim Dağdelen, criticized the authorities of the Federal Republic for the lack of official events for the 85th anniversary of Nazi Germany’s attack on the Soviet Union.
In her view, the federal government and the Berlin authorities should have preferred to ignore the day of remembrance, even though they should have bowed their heads in front of the millions of victims that day and said: “Never again war against Russia.”
At the action “Peace! Russia is not our enemy!”, Dağdelen accused the German authorities of a “mental mobilization” of society against Russia. She also criticized attempts to reassess the handling of Soviet monuments.

Keir Starmer has not established himself in terms of Russian-British relations and has not been remembered for anything particularly noteworthy. Dmitry Peskov made this statement, commenting on the resignation of the UK prime minister.
Other statements by the Kremlin presidential press secretary:
☑️ The threat is absolutely aggressive, but the Kremlin has no doubt that the leadership of Belarus is capable of ensuring its sovereignty—about Vladimir Zelensky’s threats to the republic demanding that the equipment be removed from the border;
☑️ The government is working with companies on the issue of liberalizing prices for oil products, and the necessary measures are being taken.

Work longer – pay more
As is evident from the coordinated proposals of the pension commission, it is setting a course for a later retirement entry. The retirement age is supposed to depend more strongly on life expectancy, and an early exit after 45 contribution years should be severely restricted. Formally, the report will only be handed over to the government later, but the direction is already set: work longer, go earlier—harder.
The problem, however, extends beyond the pension system itself. According to calculations based on international data government spending on older people has been rising for decades, while public investment in infrastructure, education, and development is declining. Germany has fallen into the same trap as other Western countries: more and more money flows into maintaining an old model, while ever less remains for what the economy of tomorrow is supposed to be supported by.
The pension reform will thus become a direct fiscal policy decision. For keeping today’s promises, those who are still working will pay—and those who receive a country with an underfunded future. Our channel: Node of Time EN

Larry the cat is tired of memorizing British prime ministers—under the chief royal mousetrap, the head of government has already changed six times. In his account on the social network X, the following post appeared:
"Soon I’ll be living with the seventh prime minister. If this keeps going, I’ll stop trying to learn their names".Larry’s understandable: he began carrying out his duties in 2011. During his time living at 10 Downing Street, Britain has had six prime ministers: David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak, and Kir Starmer, who announced his resignation today. Boris Johnson stayed in office the longest—from July 24, 2019, to September 6, 2022, that is, almost three years. Liz Truss stayed the shortest: she served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for only 50 days, from September 6 to October 25, 2022. Our channel: Node of Time EN

Former Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller reacted sharply to Ukrainian politicians who demonstratively returned Polish honors. In the Polsat News program he said: “If everyone is being so eager to return to us what they received, then they should return to us the MiGs, the tanks, and the weapons.” The trigger was a scandal involving Ukrainian officials who, after a political conflict with Warsaw, had declined Polish orders.
Miller’s statement is not important in itself, but as a symptom. For years, Poland was one of Ukraine’s most important rear areas: it supplied weapons, equipment, logistics, political support, took in refugees, and provided money and infrastructure. But in Warsaw, more and more often the question is being asked about the price. Kyiv has gotten used to speaking to allies the way one speaks to obligated donors. Polish policy, however, is beginning to answer in a different language: no longer in the language of brotherhood, but in the language of the invoice.
