YouTube Family Host Instructions 🎬
Thank you for helping out as a host! YouTube is a little trickier than Spotify, so please read everything below before agreeing, full transparency.
Step 1️⃣, Purchase the Family Plan
Please purchase the YouTube Premium Family Plan on my behalf.
Unlike Spotify, this is a monthly payment: you pay each month, and I will reimburse you before every billing date, just like the Spotify arrangement.
Step 2️⃣, Set Up the Family Plan
After purchasing
• Make sure the account is set to Singapore, I will send you the emails to invite
Once I receive the link, I will handle the rest and fill all 5 slots.
One difference from Spotify: I sell YouTube in 1-month packages, so members change more often and there is a bit more removing of members to do. I will tell you exactly who to remove and when: I'll guide every step.
Step 3️⃣, Things to Know (being fully transparent)
• Overseas usage is strongly discouraged, even if temporary, YouTube has minor crackdowns due to overseas usage from travelling etc., even when everyone in the family is from Singapore
• In rare cases this can cause the account to lose the family option: I've seen it in about 1 out of 50 accounts over 6 months
• Because of this, I strongly encourage using an account that is not your main account
• That said, the ban rate is 0: worst case is only losing the family option, never a ban
Step 4️⃣, Your Cost
Your effective cost for 1 year of YouTube Premium is S$60.
Once everything is set up, please send me your phone number so I can reimburse you each month before the billing date.

It's been a rough month, and I want to say thank you for being patient with me — especially those of you on Spotify. Here's where things stand.
📊 SPOTIFY – WHAT THE DATA SHOWS
About 35% of Spotify customers were affected by this crackdown. I initially thought Plan 1A (Individual) was completely dead, but it turns out a good number of accounts are still fine.
That said, with this wave I'd rather move everyone towards Plan 1B (Join Family). It costs a bit more, but it's been stable throughout — and stable is what I prioritise. If you're deciding between the two, go 1B.
I'm still selling 1A for those who prefer it — I'm confident I can stand behind the warranty on it.
🔄 SPOTIFY REFUNDS & OPTION 3
Refunds are progressing steadily. Option 3 backlog is down to about 10 people, mostly newer customers — you'll be cleared shortly.
🎬 NETFLIX / DISNEY
Netflix had its own crackdown 1–2 months before Spotify, and it's possible I missed someone in the middle of all this.
Good news: so far Netflix is back to stable, and Netflix Private in particular. If I owe you any Netflix, let me know — I will replace it with all the unused days.
Same for Disney — if you believe I still owe you a replacement or refund, message me directly with your number and what you're owed and I'll sort it.

Now that Spotify is under control, I'm turning to YouTube. There's a small backlog on the appeals side — if you're waiting on one, you're not forgotten, I'm working through it now.
