Never supplement one part of your life with another (Financially). For example, don’t say “with the money I get from a car I rent out I will sustain a business I’m running”. If you have different hustles, isolate them. It’s called ring-fencing and I learned the hard way. | 331

I would say they’re overreacting, but I’m smart enough to know I’m dumb compared to them. This is happening a little too many times for my liking. | 490
There’s already drama that OpenAI trained their model from a solution from a researcher’s private codex session. Oh boy. | 490
Much better marketing than “it escaped sandbox”. WOW! read more | 449

It did well compared to Sol. I see some issues here and there, but considering the prompt was a one liner, did really well. I'll try other typical models until I run out but good first impression. | 527
I've been seeing a lot of hype regarding astra's modeling/rendering capabilities. Let's see if it can make a simple render of an Egyptian pyramid. | 485
Hey guys, need a tip. What works best for Amharic to English translation? Any good models that perform better than google translate? | 521
I thought they said in a few weeks. Damn it, I was hoping to touch grass today. | 561
Do you work remotely, for a foreign company? If so what do you use for banking? | 631
| 14 | Ran into a friend today, he's a great engineer and he showed me one of his pet projects. And it turns out, it's something I've been looking for, a place where I can get an updated list of various events/activities etc.. No signing up, no fuss. Many have tried, but I haven't seen one that comes close to this. (Diasporas would love it).

My new obsession these days, after I saw the trailer for Oh Empire! Ward off thy rot (a game with a dithered aesthetics), is dithercore. I've been seeing that design style on some websites, but I like it more on some art (games, maybe even movies etc) ... anyways, found a great article about dithering ... would look really nice on tattoos. Anyways, here's some stills from the trailer | 813

I need help figuring out where to go, who to talk to, what to read regarding paying taxes for possible remote job income. Anyone that has experience regarding this, please help. | 706

This new proclamation gives INSA the power to set standards, inspect critical systems and require cyber incidents to be reported within 48 hours. For developers, code, access controls, logs, third-party tools and deployments may all need to meet “legal” requirements. Dumb technical decisions could now lead to fines or even personal liability. Even if it’s defined I don’t really know what can be included as a critical infrastructure.. but better safe than sorry, beef up your security. | 1 222
| 20 | I don’t see the value of frontend and backend devs passing tickets back and forth anymore, AI now handles the cross-stack work allowing generalist "product engineers" to pull off end-to-end features solo. The traditional specialist developer isn't gone, but i think the new team structure should be changed: a dev should now own features. Meaning from UI components down to database schemas. They should own the non functional aspects as well. In this paradigm I think that specialists are liberated from routine implementation to focus on architectural integrity, system performance, security guardrails, and code quality reviews. We’re technically pushed towards that, in simple terms, we don’t really prompt saying “don’t build the frontend for this feature, I’m not supposed to”.
