| 3 |  🚨 FOMC Aftermath: Markets Don't Believe Warsh
The Fed held rates steady, but the real story was the largest dissent since 2016 and Kevin Warsh's controversial communication.
His comment, *"I asked for a good family fight and I got one,"* was intended to signal a hawkish Fed without actually hiking. Instead, markets questioned the Fed's credibility.
📈 30Y Treasury yield surged to 5.23% — the highest level in 19 years.
📉 The S&P 500 and Nasdaq sold off.
🥇 Gold failed to hold its post-FOMC rally as higher yields weighed on sentiment.
Now all eyes turn to today's GDP and Core PCE. A weak growth print with sticky inflation could leave the Fed trapped in a stagflation scenario.
The next 24 hours could set the direction for Gold, USD, yields and equities.

US borrowing costs hit the highest level since 2007 after the Federal Reserve held rates steady, underscoring fears that the central bank will not be able to contain the inflationary shock from Donald Trump’s Iran war.
The 30-year Treasury yield jumped 0.14 percentage points to 5.23 per cent following the Fed decision on Wednesday, signalling worries among investors that surging oil prices triggered by the Middle East conflict could prompt a lasting bout of inflation. Don’t be fooled by every sharp move.
During the summer months, market participation drops and order books become much thinner. As a result, even relatively small orders can move prices aggressively, sweeping through multiple levels of liquidity and triggering clusters of stop-losses.
These sudden spikes and sell-offs are often driven by poor liquidity—not necessarily by a change in the underlying fundamentals.

| 17 |  📊 US PPI Cools, But Don’t Celebrate Yet…
Producer Price Inflation came in softer than expected today, with headline PPI falling to 5.5% YoY from 6.0%, largely thanks to lower energy prices and a sharp decline in gasoline costs.
However, the underlying picture is less reassuring.
Core producer inflation remained at 5.1% YoY, showing that inflation pressures across goods and services are still elevated. In other words, the energy shock is fading—but underlying inflation hasn’t disappeared.
Market reaction:
🟢 Gold supported as yields ease.
🔴 USD under pressure.
📈 Risk assets receive a short-term boost.
⚠️ The key takeaway: This is encouraging progress, but it’s not enough to convince the Fed that inflation has been defeated. One softer report doesn’t change the broader inflation story.
