📊 XAUUSD Bouncing Off Range Low, Bounce Likely to Fail at Trendline
Gold found demand between 4,110.87-4,169.65 after the sharp drop, bouncing off the 1.618 extension zone. Price is now recovering back up toward the descending trendline.
Structure now:
🔵 4,110.87–4,169.65 demand zone, the low has held so far
🔴 Descending trendline still intact, sitting right around the 4,220-4,245 area, exactly where this bounce is projected to meet resistance
🔴 4,220.016 near-term resistance in confluence with the trendline
Our read: this looks like a corrective bounce, not a reversal. Expecting the rally to stall right into the trendline/4,220 confluence and roll back over, retesting the 4,110-4,169 zone and if that fails to hold, room opens toward the 2.272-2.618 extensions (4,045-3,993).
Bias: bearish while price stays under the descending trendline.
Invalidation: a clean break and close above the trendline (~4,245) would shift this to a bullish reversal read instead of a corrective bounce.

📊 XAUUSD Sharp Breakdown, Relief Bounce Expected
Gold broke down through the 4,244.27 support and the ascending trendline in a strong impulsive leg, tapping the 1.618 fib extension at 4,140.63 and reacting inside the demand zone below.
Structure now:
🔴 4,244.27 broken support, now major resistance (flip zone)
🔴 Ascending trendline broken and now sitting overhead as resistance, around the 1.272 fib (~4,190)
🟢 4,140.63 1.618 extension, current reaction zone inside the demand block
🔴 Descending trendline sits above near 4,280, the ceiling for any larger recovery
Our read: after such an extended drop, we expect a relief bounce first. The likely path is a rally toward the broken trendline and 1.272 fib area (~4,190), a rejection there, then a second push toward the 4,244.27 flip zone where sellers should step back in with the descending trendline adding confluence above.
Bias: bearish while price stays below 4,244.27. Bounces are for retesting, not chasing.
Invalidation: a clean break and close above 4,244.27 and the descending trendline would flip this structure and open room toward 4,300+.
