👉A process of Delivering the information to the others
It is a one way communication process

🌎Satellite Broadcasting
Satellite Broadcasting is the distribution of multimedia
content or broadcast signals over or through a satellite network
👉Steps
The broadcast signal usually originate from a station such as tbv or radio station
👉Transmitted through uplink (uploaded) to a geo synchronous satellite
👉The satellite redistribution or retransmission (via free space) to other predetermined
geographic locations through an open or a secure channel
👉Downlinks are then received by base stations,(such as small home satellite dishes) i.e
Parabolic antenna) or base stations owned by local cable network for redistribution to their customers
👉The signals coming in are encoded and digitally compressed so as to minimize the size and so that the provider can bundle more channels
into the signal-Multiplexing
👉Multiple access
Multiple access means access to a given facility or a resource by multiple users
here the facility is the transponder,
multiple users are various terrestrial terminals
under the footprint of the satellite
👉Multiple access enables satellite to take or give signals from different stations
at time without any interference between them
📡There are 3 types of multiple access technique
👉FDMA (Frequency Division Multiple Access)
👉TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access)
👉CDMA(Code division Mutiple Access)
🌎FDMA(Frequency Division Multiple Access)
👉FDMA is the process of dividing one channel or bandwidth into multiple individual bands each for use
by a single user.
👉Problem:
👉Adjacent channel interference, Cross talk , Intermodulation(IMP)
👉To avoid we use guard band
A guard band is a narrow frequency band between adjacent frequency channels
🌎TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access)
👉TDMA is a time based access in which we give certain time frame to each
channel.Within that time frame the channel can access the entire spectrum
bandwidth
👉Each station got a fixed length or slot.The slots, which are unused will remain
in idle stage.
👉If a channel is transmitting heavier loads, then it can be assigned a bigger time
slot than the channel which is transmitting lighter loads
👉Shares single carrier frequency with multiple users
👉Slots can be assigned on demand in dynamic TDMA
👉Higher synchronization between earth station & satellite
👉Frequency / slot allocation complexity
👉TDMA is more suitable for digital data transmission
🌎CDMA ( Code Division Multiple Access)
👉In CDMA a technique , a unique code has been assigned to each channel
to distinguish from each other.
👉A user has access to the whole bandwidth for the entire duration
