it might be a hot take for some people, but dubai doesn’t deserve all the hate it gets for being “artificial” or “soulless” i have seen the prettiest sunsets, met the nicest people, and eaten the tastiest food here. despite being so young, this city has so much to offer. i’m sure it’ll get better and better in the future, but even now, it’s a great place to live no city is flawless and we choose what sacrifices to make based on our priorities

Последние 10 дней были просто невероятными. Помню, как сидела в библиотеке, и получаем сообщение о том, что нужно сидеть в укрытии. Спустя несколько минут слышим громкий взрыв. После чего—у всех телефоны начинают сигналить. Все бежим в подвал. С того момента наш обычный ежедневный ритуал сильно изменился. Мы ходили в столовую через подвал, несколько раз в день слышали сигнализацию и наблюдали за тем, что происходит через окно. Однако, не все было страшно, как показывают в social media. Университет сделал многое чтобы помочь и защитить нас в такое время, за что я очень благодарна. Может, когда нибудь, расскажу все, что происходило и происходит. Things are serious. Самое обидное то, что многие мои друзья улетели, и, скорее всего, я их уже не увижу. Надеюсь, что всё это скоро закончится, и мы вернёмся к нашим обычным учебным будням.
