It’s really sad for me to say this but Boom Festival. For me festivals have always been about music, freedom, connection, love and bringing people from all over the world together. When Israelis are made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome because of where they come from or because they are called Zionists, I feel like the whole point of this culture starts to get lost. Especially when Israeli artists and the Israeli psytrance scene have been such a big part of this culture for so many years. You don’t have to agree with a government or someone’s political beliefs, but festivals should be a place where we can leave that stuff behind and meet each other as people. I want to see Israelis, Palestinians, Arabs, Jews, Muslims, Christians and people from everywhere dancing together and feeling at home.
