This solution supports 11 regional languages and is evolving to assist with other government programs. 2. The National Pest Surveillance System, for tackling the loss of produce due to climate change, utilizes AI and Machine Learning to detect pest infestation in crop issues, enabling timely intervention for healthier crops. AI-based analytics using field photographs for satellite-based crop mapping is being used in Crop-weather matching monitoring of crops sown.

AI for Agriculture : ENHANCING FORECAST EFFICIENCY USING AI —> The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare (MoAFW) is harnessing the power of AI for farmers. —> In a novel public initiative, MoAFW sent AI-based monsoon forecasts via SMS (m-Kisan) to nearly 3.8 crore farmers across 13 states this year. —> This forecast was available earlier than ever before - up to four weeks ahead of the rain —> Preparation for sowing of crops. —> The forecasts used by MoAFW were a blend of two open-access models—Google’s Neural GCM and ECMWF’s Artificial Intelligence Forecasting Systems (AIFS).
