Defense's case featured one witness with amnesia, one that blew up on them massively, and then some character witnesses who tried to convince jury that Sussmann is a really nice man. Two witnesses bailed on them or otherwise wouldn't testify without being immunized by Durham, and Sussmann himself refused to get on the stand because he is scared of whatever is in the pretrial negotiations. Defense talked to jury less than 15mins this morning, then rested. Prosecution said no rebuttal was necessary and rested as well. Uhh... this has been a catastrophe for Sussmann! Good.
