✅ Day 13: Diagramification of your Mains Answer 🏹Theme: Capital Expenditure, among the most important economy themes for Mains right now. Fiscal consolidation, capex-led growth, crowding-in of private investment, questions come from every angle. 📌And here's the beauty of this pair: most aspirants assume deficit control = spending cuts. Draw these two bars together and quietly destroy that assumption- primary deficit DOWN from 3.3% to 0.8% of GDP, while Centre's effective capex is UP from 2.7% to 4% of GDP (Economic Survey). Borrowing less, building more. That is the entire "quality of expenditure" argument in one glance - no paragraph can say it this fast. A diagram that resolves a paradox earns analytical marks, not just presentation marks. 💡Budget and Economic Survey, already converted into exam-ready diagrams in GS3 Booklet, ₹399, Civil Services Compass app ⬅️ ✉️ Click here to follow us

Essay & GS quotes These are quotes covering all major topics of GS syllabus and all major philosophical themes. Best way to learn this would be to tag along with a peer (the friend I did this with is an officer now) and do 2 quotes everyday. Small portions of food (knowledge) is better digested. Fun fact: this was made between 2020 and 2022. Atleast 4 quotes were converted to direct UPSC essay question. Keep following: https://t.me/essaysandbeyond

So overwhelmed reading this! Rank se jyada aapka effort matter karta! Let’s have correct process and do our best! I can post feedback even if you are not a topper! P.s price to rise to 299 in 48 hours! (Link will be updated automatically)

Hi everyone! A while back i came across Ayush Singh who made excellent 2 pages handwritten Current affairs notes from newspapers- per day! (Exclusively for prelims) You would be suprised, his only 6 months of notes were able to fetch 12 questions in Prelims. And yes I verified it, so trust me when I say they are good! So you imagine if he is able to do it from now till prelims- How many more questions he could fetch! So upon request he has accepted to onboard himself with us! And Starting 1st August, everyday at 5:00 pm we would be posting 2 pages of Current affairs notes everyday! Do it every single day without keeping it pending, and revise it every sunday! Like i always say Preparation without revision is glorified self sabotage! P.s this would also help you calm your nerves even when your PT 365 is late because by then you would have revised current affairs ample times! Regards Shubham Ajmera Note: It would be posted on the other channel- (click here to join)

#BREAKING | Nepal’s Finance Minister stripped of clothes and chased into a river by angry protesters during deadly anti-corruption protests Justified punishment for corruption ? International relations for UPSC!

Hi Everyone! After making Topper Copy Compilations for GS1, GS2, GS3 & GS4, let me confess Essay was the toughest nut to crack! Why? Because filtering purely the best essays on parameters like flow, examples, introductions, anti-thesis, structure & creativity meant reading 250+ essays, shortlisting the best 70, and ensuring both philosophical + GS-based topics were covered especially repeating themes that UPSC actually loves. But we did it and we’re super proud of the team that pulled this off! 💪✨ Now, since this compilation demanded insane hours and precision, the Essay course will be priced slightly higher than other GS ones… BUT here’s the Diwali gift 🎁 We’ve launched our new app, where all our courses (including combo offers) are listed and for Diwali Week, we’re releasing the Essay Toppers Copy Compilation at par with GS prices! 🔥 Pay here for Essay Toppers Copy: [Payment Link- click here and pay] 📱 App Link: [App Link- Click here and Install] 📲 Note for iOS users: please wait a few days, we’re coming for you soon (No need of screenshots, once you pay, direct access in app, for all downloadable files- All topper copies are downloadable now!)

🚨 DAY 27: 30 DAYS ETHICS ENRICHMENT SERIES 📚 Topic: Theories of Punishment 📖 Meaning: The Theories Of Punishment are fundamental to the criminal justice system, as they justify why and how offenders should be penalized. Each theory reflects different philosophies about justice, deterrence, rehabilitation, and societal needs. Various Theories of Punishment: 1. Retributive Theory of Punishment: The retributive theory is based on the principle of just deserts—that an offender deserves to be punished for committing a crime. The punishment should be proportional to the crime committed, focusing on the moral wrongdoer’s guilt. 2. Deterrent Theory of Punishment: This theory argues that the primary aim of punishment is to deter future crimes, both by the offender (specific deterrence) and by society at large (general deterrence). 3. Rehabilitative Theory of Punishment: The rehabilitative theory focuses on reforming the offender so that they can reintegrate into society as law-abiding citizens. It aims at transforming the offender’s behavior, attitudes, and character. 4. Incapacitation Theory of Punishment: The incapacitation theory focuses on removing the offender from society to prevent them from committing further crimes. It justifies imprisonment or other forms of isolation as a means to protect society. 5. Restorative Theory of Punishment: Restorative justice focuses on repairing the harm caused by the offense rather than solely punishing the offender. It emphasizes the restoration of relationships between the offender, the victim, and the community. 6. Preventive Theory of Punishment: The preventive theory seeks to prevent crime by ensuring that offenders are dissuaded from committing future offenses. It is similar to the deterrent theory but focuses on the prevention of crime at the individual level. 7. Expressive Theory of Punishment: This theory sees punishment as an expression of society’s condemnation of the crime. It’s less about deterrence or rehabilitation and more about expressing moral outrage and reaffirming societal norms. 💬 Key Quote: "The end of punishment is not the pain of the offender, but the preservation of public order." John Locke 👉 Application: 1️⃣ Use this in questions related to Laws and Ethics etc. 2️⃣ In Case Studies, justify your action by citing above given theories.
