Election imp facts were in news:- 1) A candidate nomination requires to be subscribed by 10 electors of the constituency in case of a recognized political party only 1 subscriber is needed. A candidate can file up to 4 nomination papers with different sets of proposers. This is to enable the acceptance of nomination of a candidate even if any of one set of nomination paper is in order. 2) Form 17C :- As per the Conduct of Election Rules 1961 (1961 Rules), the ECI has to maintain two forms - Forms 17A and 17C - that have data on the number of electors and the votes polled. While the Form 17A is used to record the details of every voter who comes into a polling booth and casts his or her vote, the Form 17C is an account of all the votes recorded. 3) VVPAT Verification:- Currently ECI randomly (by a draw of lots by the returning officer) selects any 5 polling booths from a constituency and verify it with the EVM votes. 4) Ballot box:- currently one EVM ballot unit can have a maximum of 16 candidates (including NOTA) , 4 Ballot units linked together can accommodate 64 candidates (a single EVM can record maximum 2000 votes) with only one control unit... If the number of candidates is more than 64 then the election will be conducted through the Ballot box instead of EVM.

Notemaking for Mains: Extracting GS4 Examples If you have analyzed GS4 PYQs, you might have noticed that Consumerism/Materialism is a recurrent theme. It either appears in quote-based questions directly or can be asked indirectly in other questions. Many of the Case Studies also check whether you are prioritizing material gains or ethical conduct. So when you know that this is an important theme, make a note of such examples as soon as you come across them in newspapers. How do you add them to your notes? Mention it in a single line. In Mains exam, you don't get either the space or time to give a detailed explanation of examples. Your statements should be short and self-explanatory. For example, Rising consumerism culture: eg. "100% authentic air collected from Lake Como" being sold for 10 Euros. Pro Tip: Always try to link at least 1-2 thinkers' perspective in your answers. Like, here you can link this with Lord Mahavira's Panch Mahavratas i.e. Aparigraha(non-possession).

Also, Ek pinned msg mai essay ka content hain. I am sure everyone who has seen that will easily use that in these essays. That content is made for such essays.
