Just think for 5 mins and trying doing the given activity
I have always believed in this words. Hence all my write ups are brutally honest, infact I never say anyone that you are special and you will definitely get selected.
Because? I have seen many such special people and special stories fail in UPSC. Because of lack of honesty towards self.
Activity
People often seek reassurance by trying to hide their mistakes. I would want you all to sit down and write 5-10 reasons as to why you should not be selected. And then, ensure you work on all the 10 reasons and they do not exist in coming days and months.

✅ Day 19: Diagramification of your Mains Answer
🏹Theme: Power Sector - and these two solve a real problem: achievement data is hard to find. Every aspirant can list failures; very few can PROVE progress.
📌 Here is the proof: capacity addition up from 15,008 MW (2025) to 40,939 MW (2026), and power shortage down from 4.2% (2014) to just 0.03% (2025) - both from Ministry of Power. Use them wherever the question demands balance - energy security, infrastructure, "evaluate government efforts."
A balanced answer needs evidence on both sides. Now you have the harder side.

🚨 DAY 4 : 30 DAYS ETHICS ENRICHMENT SERIES
📚 Topic: Stereotype, Discrimination, and Prejudice
📖 Meaning :
Stereotype : A stereotype is a generalized belief or assumption about a particular group of people. Ethically, stereotypes can be problematic because they reduce individuals to simplistic traits, ignoring their unique characteristics and experiences.
Discrimination : Discrimination involves treating individuals unfairly or unjustly based on characteristics such as race, gender, age, or religion. Ethically, discrimination violates principles of justice and equality.
Prejudice : Prejudice refers to preconceived opinions or judgments about individuals or groups, often based on stereotypes. It can lead to negative attitudes and behaviors that contribute to social injustice. Ethically, prejudice poses significant challenges to social cohesion and the promotion of a just society
The interplay between these concepts highlights ethical dilemmas in social interactions and institutional practices. For instance, stereotypes can lead to prejudicial attitudes, which, in turn, can result in discriminatory behaviors.
Solutions:
1. Self-esteem hypothesis : The self-esteem hypothesis suggests that individuals with higher self-esteem are more likely to engage in positive social behaviors.
2. Direct-contact hypothesis : It posits that direct contact between members of different social groups can reduce prejudice and improve intergroup relations.
3. Cooperation hypothesis : It highlights that cooperative interactions(towards a common goal) between individuals or groups can lead to improved relationships, reduced prejudice, and enhanced problem-solving abilities.
4. Legal Hypothesis : It says that specific legal frameworks, policies, or interventions can effectively decrease bias and discrimination in society.
Add this diagram to your notes.
✏️ Examples :
1️⃣ Stereotype : The assumption that all wealthy people are corrupt.
2️⃣ Discrimination: In a government school in Uttarakhand, children of upper-caste refused to eat food cooked by a Dalit women.
3️⃣ Prejudice : The frequent imposition of internet shutdowns in regions like Jammu and Kashmir, particularly following political unrest, has been criticized as a form of administrative prejudice.
💬 Introduction/Conclusion :
"The fight against discrimination must also dismantle the stereotypes and prejudices that fuel it."
👉 PYQs where the topic can be applied :
1️⃣ Discrimination and Preferential Treatment (2015)
2️⃣ Case Studies: Use the Solutions when asked about your Course of Action. Write in the following way : As DM, I will apply Cooperation Hypothesis which states that cooperation towards a common goal will help reduce prejudice between different castes(or religion or any other community).
Hit ❤️ if you found this useful.
Note : I will resume this series on next Monday. Thereafter posts will be sent on alternate days.
