This snippet gives a complete detailed historical and political context for the situation in Goma city.
Just take a look at PYQs (like 2022,2023 and so many) and you will realise that events like coups, rebel activity have become the new favourite of UPSC.
The best part about such topics is that they are very easy to learn (if you know the historical context) and this is why the snippets which I post will give you a fair understanding of such current affairs topics.
Just do your part by quickly going through these snippets and not saving them for later whose time may never come.

Dear Aspirant,
3 Mains. 2 interviews. 6 years of teaching experience.
I'm starting with that because you deserve to know who's writing to you. I'm not a topper. I'm someone who has sat where you're sitting now: rereading the same chapter at midnight, refreshing the results page, and wondering whether all of this is worth it.
It is. Only, nobody tells you how much of the journey depends on being taught the right way.
A little about me:
I'm Rudresh Chandra Suman. The wish to serve the country began in the corridors of Sainik School Tilaiya. At IIT Kharagpur, I learnt to break a problem down before trying to solve it. That habit now sits at the heart of how I teach.
UPSC showed me India in a way no book ever could. In 2020, after five attempts, I stepped away. I co-founded a startup, Vayam, with friends from IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur, yet something still felt unfinished. I found it in the classroom, in the faces of students when a difficult idea finally makes sense.
I've been teaching for nearly six years now, and every year has taught me something new about how aspirants learn.
Why this channel:
Year after year I meet students from humanities backgrounds who are sharp, sincere and hardworking, and still stuck on Geography, Environment or Economy.
The problem is rarely ability. Too often these subjects are taught as facts to memorise, when they are really stories of processes, connections and places. Once you see that, a map stops being a picture and starts explaining things to you.
Geography, Environment, Economy, Agriculture, Disaster Management and Internal Security each need their own way of thinking. That's what I hope to give you here.
What you'll find here:
• Core concepts explained simply, with maps and diagrams
• Current affairs linked to the syllabus, not just reported
• Mains answer frameworks and PYQ analysis
• Guidance for Geography Optional, Paper I and II
If you want to understand what UPSC is really asking, and not just finish the syllabus, you're in the right place.
You don't have to walk this road alone. Let's begin. 🙏
— Rudresh
P.S. Drop me a message and tell me which subject troubles you the most. My first few posts will be built around your answers.

G20 members have been asked in PYQ. SCO has been in news.
Or something more innovative like which of the following are members of both these groups aisa kuch can come too.
Guys thoda time doon mujhe, thinking about back-up and how seriously should I take the news in all telegram accounts of telegram being banned.
Will get to you all by evening, tab tak sabke liye same hi reply hai ki hold on, soch raha hoon. I do realise ki it is triggering, mera khudka group hai toh ofcourse mujhe bhi farak padta but try and separate mass panic from rational decision making.
Will make a decision by evening.
Sorry for the Emotional rant! If you listen to the Audio, and want to do that activity based learning on committees, text me on @sidiswel

Important!!
how many of you have covered basic source of environment (PMF or Shankar etc) (low cost benefit in recent times) and how many of you are left to study any static source for environment.
