📌 Sin Corrupts What It Is Used With Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “Allah is not disobeyed through anything except that it becomes corrupted for the one who uses it in disobedience. Whoever disobeys Allah with his wealth, it is corrupted for him. Whoever disobeys Him with his status, it is corrupted for him. And whoever disobeys Him with his tongue, his heart, or any of his limbs, it is corrupted for him, even if he does not realize its corruption.” 📚 Al-Sawaiq al-Mursalah (3/865)

📌 The Spiritual Benefits of Travelling One of the great blessings of Allah upon His servants is that He made travelling more than just moving from one place to another. He made it an opportunity to draw closer to Him and increase in worship. There are many ways this happens: 1. Special Du'as for Travel The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us a special du'aa to say when setting out on a journey. This helps the believer begin his travel by remembering Allah, seeking His protection, and asking Him for ease and safety. 2. A Farewell Du'aa for the Traveller The Prophet ﷺ also taught us words to say when bidding farewell to someone who is travelling. It is a beautiful supplication in which we entrust the traveller to Allah's protection and care until they return. 3. The Traveller's Du'aa Is Accepted Among the special virtues of travel is that the du'aa of the traveller is accepted. Because of this, a traveller should make the most of his journey by increasing in supplication and asking Allah for every good in this life and the next—for himself, his family, his loved ones, and the Muslim Ummah as a whole. 4. Ease in Prayer During Travel From Allah's mercy is that He made worship easier for the traveller. A Muslim who is travelling is allowed to shorten the four-unit prayers, making them two units instead. This concession is a gift from Allah and a reminder that Islam is a religion of mercy and ease. 5. Ease in Fasting During Travel Likewise, Allah has permitted the traveller to break his fast during Ramadan if fasting would cause hardship. He can make up those missed days later. This is another example of Allah's mercy and His desire for ease, not difficulty, for His servants. References 1. Du'aa when beginning a journey Sahih Muslim (1342) The travel supplication beginning with: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Subhanalladhi sakhkhara lana hadha..." 2. Farewell supplication for the traveller Sunan Abi Dawud (2600) Jami' at-Tirmidhi (3443) The Prophet ﷺ would say: " (I entrust to Allah your religion, your trust, and the end of your deeds)." Authenticated by Shaykh al-Albani رحمه الله. 3. The du'aa of the traveller is accepted Jami' at-Tirmidhi (1905) Sunan Ibn Majah (3862) The Prophet ﷺ said: "Three supplications are undoubtedly answered: the supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveller, and the supplication of a parent for his child." Classified as Hasan by Shaykh al-Albani رحمه الله. 4. Shortening the prayer while travelling Surah An-Nisa (101) Sahih al-Bukhari (1090) Sahih Muslim (686) 5. Breaking the fast during travel Surah Al-Baqarah (184-185) Sahih al-Bukhari (1946) Sahih Muslim (1115) May Allah make our travels a means of increasing in remembrance, gratitude, and obedience to Him, and may He return every traveller safely to their family and loved ones.

📌 What Knowledge Should Be Learned First Al-Khatib al-Baghdadi (رحمه الله) said: “A student should begin by memorizing the Book of Allah عز وجل, for it is the greatest of all sciences and the most deserving to be given priority. Then after the Quran comes the knowledge of the sayings of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Sunnah. It is obligatory upon the people to seek it, since it is the foundation and basis of the religion. Allah the Exalted said: "Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you from, refrain from it." (59:7) And He said: "Whoever obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah." (4:80) And He said: "Nor does he speak from his own desire." (53:3) 📗 Al-Jami li Akhlaq al-Rawi wa Adab al-Sami (27–29) 📘Al-Fawakih al-Janiyyah min al-Athar al-Salafiyyah (p.11)

📌 Strive Against the Soul Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: “The soul is like an enemy. If it sees firmness and determination from you, it submits to you. But if it senses weakness and humiliation from you, it overpowers you. Deny it some of its lawful pleasures so that peace may be reached in abandoning the unlawful. And when it complains in seeking what is permissible, then either show favor or discipline it.” 📚 Badai al-Fawaid (3/1202)

Imam Bukhari, in a commentary on the hadith narrated by Ibn 'Umar and Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them), mentioned that they used to go out to the market during the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, making Takbeer, and the people would follow their lead in making Takbeer. It is also reported that Umar ibn Al-Khattab and his son Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them) would make Takbeer in Mina, both in the Masjid and in their tents, raising their voices with it until Mina would reverberate with Takbeer. It is narrated from the Prophet ﷺ and a group of his companions that the Takbeer is to be recited after the five obligatory prayers, starting from the Fajr prayer on the Day of Arafah until the 'Asr prayer on the thirteenth day of Dhul-Hijjah, and this is for non-pilgrims." Lastly, May Allah bless us with the strength to follow His commands, aid us in all that we do, accept our righteous acts, and may these days become a means for us to attain His pleasure. ➡️Considering the great rewards that come with doing good deeds during the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah, it's important to pay attention to the following 1- Make sure to prioritize and fulfill your obligatory acts inwardly and outwardly! Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah the Exalted has said: '..... And the most beloved thing with which My slave draws closer to Me is what I have obliged upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil (voluntary prayers or extra deeds) till I love him. ...." Reported by Bukhari 2- Practice ihsan (excellence) in your Ibadah, Worship Allah as if you can see Him, knowing that although you may not see Him, He sees you. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) narrated: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah does not look at your figures, nor at your attire but He looks at your hearts and actions". Reported by Muslim 3- Let us make an effort to pray the five daily prayers in the Masjid, aiming to be punctual and arriving early. Narrated by Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him): Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "One of the best deeds is to offer Salat (prayer) in its early time." [Reported by at-Tirmidhi and al-Hakim who (both) graded it Sahih]. Narrated by Al-Walid bin 'Aizar: I heard Abi Amr 'Ash-Shaibani saying, "The owner of this house." he pointed to Abdullah's house, "said, 'I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) 'Which deed is loved most by Allah?" He replied, 'To offer prayers at their early (very first) stated times.' " ... Reported by Bukhari and Muslim Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "If people only knew the blessings of Adhan and the first row, they would compete for them. And if they knew the merits of praying early, they would race one another to it. And if they knew the rewards of Isha' (night) and Fajr (dawn) prayers, they would attend them even if they had to crawl." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim) 4- Let us strive to fast the remaining days of Dhul-Hijjah, or at the very least the 9th day. Abu Hurairah reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Every act of the son of Adam is for himself, except for fasting, It is done for My sake, and I will give a reward for it. By Allah in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the breath of the observer of fast is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk." Reported by Muslim Al Nawawi رحمه الله said: And His statement, "And I alone am the One to reward it," highlights the immense favor and abundant rewards from Allah. When Allah, the Generous, says that He will take care of the recompense, it shows how great the rewards will be and how generous His giving is. Sahih Muslim: Kitab al-Siyam 5- Let us increase our remembrance of Allah, morning and evening Adh-kaar, and all other types of adh-kaar such as Takbir (saying Allahu Akbar) Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The Mufarridun have gone ahead." He was asked, "Who are the Mufarridun?" He (ﷺ) replied, "Those men and women who frequently remember Allah." Repprted Muslim Sheikh Bin Baz, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "The Takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) during the days of Eid Al-Adha is recommended from the beginning of the month until the end of the thirteenth day of Dhul-Hijjah. This is based on the verse in which Allah, glorified be He, says: 'That they may witness benefits for themselves and mention the name of Allah on known days' [Al Hajj:28], referring to the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. Also, Allah says: 'And mention Allah during the appointed days' [Al Baqarah:203], referring to the days of Tashreeq. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'The days of Tashreeq are days for eating, drinking, and remembering Allah.' This is reported by Imam Muslim in his Sahih.

📌 The Sign of the People of Innovation Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said: “Know that the distinguishing sign of the people of innovation is abandoning the way of the Salaf. For this reason, Imam Ahmad said in the letter of Abdus ibn Malik: ‘The foundations of the Sunnah with us are holding firmly to what the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ were upon.’” 📚 Majmu al-Fatawa (4/155)
