🚀 Mintlayer Core v1.4.1 is out!
A maintenance release focused on real-time APIs, operational resilience, and PoS infrastructure.
📡 API server
• Live event streaming: new SSE endpoint /v2/stream pushes tx_seen, block and reorg events in real time, with an optional type filter
• Mempool visibility: pending transactions are now served through the regular REST endpoints. GET /v2/transaction/{id} falls back to the node's mempool, and GET /v2/mempool/transactions lists what's pending
• Self-healing scanner: the scanner daemon now reconnects to the node automatically (exponential backoff) instead of requiring a manual restart
• New keyset-paginated endpoints: pools, transactions, holders, order book
• Token & NFT listing fixes: no more duplicate entries or overflowing pages
⚠️ API-server operators: storage version bumped 25 → 26, so a full resync of the scanner database is required on upgrade.
⛓️ Node
• PoS seal indexing: duplicate-proof evidence storage for block seals, active by default (configurable)
👛 Wallet
• Fixed watch-only / private-key / multisig imports leaving the wallet stuck at genesis in non-interactive mode (rescan now completes before the command returns)
🧩 WASM bindings
• make_default_account_privkey now accepts an optional BIP39 passphrase

| 3 | Mintlayer $ML Migration Update: Final Deadline Confirmed, New Bridge and ERC20 Coming Next
On 4 May 2026, Mintlayer announced the decommissioning of the original ERC20 $ML token and introduced a migration path for holders. We are now confirming that the process is progressing as planned and that the final migration deadline remains 1 November 2026. This deadline is definitive and will not be extended again.
The migration tool remains operational on the reduced schedule previously communicated, with requests processed every two weeks. After 1 November 2026, the tool will close permanently. Any original ERC20 $ML that has not been migrated by that date will remain locked in the original Ethereum smart contract. Those tokens will not be burned, and ownership will remain with the respective holders.

We are also coordinating with supported exchanges to complete the transition away from the original ERC20 token. Users holding $ML on participating exchanges do not need to take any action, as exchanges will migrate their own balances through the migration process on behalf of their users.
In parallel, Mintlayer is finalising testing of a new permanent bridge infrastructure designed to connect Mintlayer with Ethereum and additional EVM-compatible networks. Once live, the bridge will enable verified assets to move between supported networks in approximately 15 minutes, creating a broader interoperability layer between Mintlayer and the wider EVM ecosystem.
Alongside the bridge, Mintlayer will introduce a new ERC20 representation of $ML on Ethereum. The objective is to expand the accessibility of $ML across trading venues and EVM-based ecosystems while maintaining interoperability with native ML on the Mintlayer network through the bridge.
The new bridge and ERC20 will be introduced together. Further technical documentation, supported networks, security details and the official ERC20 contract address will be published through Mintlayer’s official channels ahead of launch. | 805 |

| 5 | New article by our founder Enrico Rubboli: Your Address Checks Itself
Send funds to a mistyped address and on most chains the money is gone. On Mintlayer, the wallet catches the typo, points at exactly where it is, and proposes the corrected address, one click to fix.
The piece breaks down why: bech32 addresses carry a built-in checksum that detects and locates errors, while on 0x chains almost any lowercase string is a valid address, even ones owned by nobody. The zero address alone has swallowed millions in tokens by accident or design.
Security at Mintlayer starts at the address format level, and has been that way since day one.

| 6 | 🛠 Mojito API : restored
Earlier today we fully restored the Mojito API after it went down due to an expired security certificate on our backend, its automatic renewal had silently failed.
⚡️ Once the issue was flagged, our team diagnosed it and had everything back online in about an hour, and we didn't stop there: we also moved to a long-term certificate setup (valid until 2041) so this failure mode simply can't happen again.

Ledger hardware wallet support (beta)
You can now create, recover and open a Mintlayer wallet directly on a Ledger device, alongside the existing software and Trezor options. Requires Ledger app v1.0.0.
Consensus tightening
Token metadata URI changes now follow the same character rules as token creation, and zero-amount token transfers and burns are rejected. This activates through a soft fork. Testnet fork height is 787640. Mainnet height will be announced.
Mempool and P2p improvements
Transaction propagation has been reworked: local transactions that never reached a peer are now re-announced, and announcements go out in batches. Mempool gained cluster size limits, several optimizations, and now correctly tracks non-UTXO dependencies, so multiple token management transactions can be included in the same block.
Wallet fixes
Transactions no longer stay marked as in-mempool after reopening the wallet when they are no longer there.
