I am amazed by all the events the White House has planned for the 250th anniversary. The kick-off for the Great American Fair is worth a watch. Brings back some wonderful childhood memories. https://rumble.com/v7bs0li-president-trump-delivers-remarks-at-the-great-american-state-fair.html

@JamesLucasIT Imagine carving a single block of marble until the veil becomes so thin that the stone itself turns transparent. Antonio Canova, one of the greatest sculptors who ever lived... It is called the Veiled Christ, and it has been called the most beautiful sculpture in the world. It sits in the Cappella Sansevero in Naples, a single block of marble carved in 1753 into the body of the dead Christ, lying beneath a shroud so thin and so perfectly rendered that, beneath it, you can see the swelling of the veins, the hollow of the closed eyes and the wound in the side....

-4- So yeah, let them eat cake and we’ll eat the cookies after all. Let the world, world. God’s justice has been moving. He’s in charge. He raises and He brings down. He builds and He destroys. Nothing happens outside His will and nothing surprises Him. The most important work we’ll do starts within the walls of our own heart. This recognition and submission to God’s sovereignty, this desire to align with Him, this focus to remove the clutter, noise, and distractions, will inevitably remove certain activities, habits, and people from our lives. This is a good thing as it now makes room for the activities, habits, and people that will benefit us and give Him honor. Father God – bless the eyes of those who read this. Bless the ears of those who really listen. Bless the hands of those who love You. Grant us Your wisdom. Dispense Your peace. Bestow Your joy! In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

-3- So this is why I share the ordinary. This is why I write about an ordinary family doing ordinary things. It’s to remind others that we are meant for relationships. First with our Creator then with others. It’s to remind others that we are meant to enjoy (truly!) the good things in this world. It’s to remind others that we are meant to slow down in our daily grind, in our thoughts, in our ways. It’s to remind others to remove the clutter in our homes, in our minds, in our hearts. It’s to remind other to praise and pray, and praise and pray. This is why God nudged me to start a channel –to show the extraordinary in the ordinary.

-2- There are countless (and mindless) channels to follow or visit on Telegram. I marvel how the vast majority of these are filled with negativity, snark, and misleading information. Very few truly feed the mind, heart, and soul with God’s goodness and truth. This is one of the reasons I chose to share (while maintaining some level of privacy because of our children) our lives on this channel. I want to remind others to breathe and live and find joy in God’s world. “Let them eat cake; we’ll eat cookies!!” (Sorry, couldn’t resist) We are living and finding ways to incorporate the joys God gifted us. We are investing in our family, doing our best to create an atmosphere of meaningful and valuable connectedness with one another. We are making our home cozy and warm, and a safe harbor. And I want that for you, too.

-1- Well, Mr Monkey Wrench, aka, The Kid Who Changed His Mind At The Last Minute (!!) did go on the flight thingy. After landing, he said, and I quote, “That was cool.” (I deliberately left off the exclamation point from his reaction because my kid is not an exclamation point kind of person.) Believe it or not, I did not feel unsettled seeing him fly a plane. That is, until he was telling us later how the two seater plane was tipped downwards so he was looking straight down at the ground. I told him never to tell me that again because moms only want to know that their kids are parallel to the ground when they’re in a plane. We’re pretty sure what the next steps are and I told God, “If this is Your plan for him then we trust You to provide a way.”

Repost from The Liberty Tavern
TM: We just finished watching the UFC main event and let me just say... WOW! There are some speculating that the UFC set up will stay on the South Lawn so that tribunals can take place there. Let me also throw my hat in the ring by saying, no I don't believe it will. The charges of treason and crimes against humanity are not a spectacle. These are capital offenses, deserving a thorough (and quick) trial in a military court. Be patient. Justice is coming. Not just equitability divvied up among the citizens for show. But, a heavenly judgement handed down from the Divine Judge against those who chose darkness over Light, Life, and Love. It's going to take our breath away in it's revelation. Pray. Prep. Praise.

Yesterday was One Big Exhausting Day. First, getting up at 6:30 am (seriously, is that even legal?!?) to take the twins to the University of Memphis for some youth counselor training. Nice campus. After I picked them up we went straight to a local community college (did I mention they were accepted?) as I was frustrated with trying to make progress via the phone. Side note, the other night our son threw a Monkey Wrench (official Latin terminology) into his after high school graduation plans by announcing the other night that, "I might be interested in aviation stuff." Side note, I had talked to him several times about aviation stuff over the last year as he did show an interest at one point, but he didn't want to talk about it. So weather pending, he has an hour flight thingy (official Mom terminology) tomorrow morning so he can gauge his interest level. At the community college, we got their schedules done (he will just take the gen ed courses); we got him signed up for select service (I'm burying my head in the sand on this one and did it quickly so the hold could come off his college account); talked to financial aid (we already had our fed and state paperwork taken care of); and got their college ID. As I walked down the stairs at the college, tears wanted to flow. I was proud, nervous, and grieving. This new season has started regardless if I want it or not. I pray for His wisdom so I can handle it grace on my end. I'll probably be goofy about it all. (It's what I do.) This parenting stuff is not for the faint of heart. Monkey Wrenches and all, it's worth it.
