Dubai Municipality has awarded four contracts worth 3 Billion Dirham to expand the emirate's stormwater drainage network. The work falls under phase three of the 30 Billion Dirham Tasreef programme, which aims to raise drainage capacity by 700 per cent by 2033. It involves constructing and extending 100km of main drainage lines, with diameters of up to three metres, across 100 square kilometres covering Jumeirah, Al Quoz, Al Barsha and Al Wasl.
