🚨 THE GLOBAL MONETARY SYSTEM IS QUIETLY GOING DIGITAL Russia and India are reportedly working on a mechanism that would allow digital currencies to be used for bilateral trade payments, according to Sberbank CEO Herman Gref. Don’t overlook the significance of this. This isn’t simply another “crypto story.” It is another piece of a much larger transformation occurring across the global financial system. For decades, international trade has depended heavily on the U.S. dollar, correspondent banks and Western-controlled financial infrastructure. Now countries are actively building alternatives. Russia and India are exploring digital-currency settlement for trade. Iran is increasingly using crypto—including Tether and Bitcoin—to facilitate cross-border commerce under sanctions. The UK House of Lords just backed an amendment calling for a national digital-assets strategy covering crypto, stablecoins, CBDCs and tokenized securities. Meanwhile, major financial institutions are rapidly expanding into stablecoins, tokenized assets and blockchain settlement. This doesn’t mean Bitcoin suddenly replaces the dollar tomorrow. It means something potentially much bigger is happening: The infrastructure underneath MONEY itself is changing. Cash → digital money Bank ledgers → tokenized assets Traditional settlement → blockchain/digital settlement Domestic experiments → international trade And perhaps the most important part: Russia and India aren’t talking about digital currencies for speculation. They’re talking about using them to settle actual international commerce. That’s the threshold worth watching. We may be moving from the era where cryptocurrency was considered an alternative financial asset into an era where digital assets and digital currencies become part of the plumbing of the global economy. They’ve become a recurring feature of the news cycle. But consider the possibility of narrative seeding. Tell the stories of Americans who faced great challenges, overcame them, built great things, defended our Country, made America better, and helped our Nation more fully live up to our Founding Ideals. That is a History worth teaching, because it is America’s story. Instead of focusing on ideological activism, the leaders of America’s taxpayer-funded, National History Museum should be focused on telling America’s story—fairly, accurately, and coherently—and there is no better person to start with than George Washington. So, I’m asking for the Smithsonian to install the 11-foot Washington statue that was featured at the recent Freedom 250 Grand Prix Race in the Museum’s Flag Hall, and dedicate it this Constitution Day, September 17, 2026.
