We are purely based on AOSP starting Android 11 until the present (12.1). We only take features such as Face Unlock and ported SystemUIGoogle/SettingsGoogle. But our base is completely different from theirs.

Very quick announcement as it seems our users are a bit confused. After the rebase to Android 12.1, a lot of features went missing such as the Monet theme engine settings, the weather in the lock screen/AOD screen, Quick tap gestures and more. Monet is already part of 12.1 release and as such, we are no longer required to use kdrag0n's Monet implementation from 12.0. You can use Repainter, his own app, to modify monet's settings within 12.1 (it doesn't even require root): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.kdrag0n.dyntheme&hl=en&gl=US Weather on the lock screen depends on Smartspace, which is Google's implementation. However, SystemUIGoogle ported from PE isn't available for use with 12.1 yet, so it's not available currently. Stuff in the Settings app like Security Hub and Quick Tap also relies on SystemUIGoogle and SettingsGoogle which, as previously stated, are not yet available for 12.1. They will be brought back once they are available.

Just so everyone is updated, here's our current feature list for 12.1 (Evo 6.2) - Face Unlock and fixes from PE - App lock from Krypton - Fixes from LOS 19.0 - Fixes from AOSPA sapphire - Fixes from Arrow 12.0 - QTI BT stack support - Alert slider from crDroid - Safetynet/PixelPropsUtils stuff - GamingMode from exthmui - 3 finger swipe to screenshot - Adaptive Playback from AOSPA - Volume long press skips music tracks - OOS style Network traffic - Advance power menu - On-The-Go - Custom QS tiles - Per-app Volume feature - Fullscreen gestures aka Hide gestural navbar - Remove monet settings in favor of using AOSP Monet - Battery icon styles - VoLTE/VoWiFi icons - 3 finger swipe to screenshot - Multi SIM ringtone - Screen off animation The ROM should be stable enough with all of the mentioned features already being added.

Source is now ready for building! :) It still has less features than before but should be more stable. Thanks for your patience.

Heads up for all builders/maintainers/Cherish dev! ROM source is still being worked on, specifically frameworks_base. A merge isn't possible so there will be a rebase from 12.1 and features will be picked on top. Of course there will be conflicts/errors so please be patient.

Apparently, we missed our ROM's Anniversary! (March 3) We've now been here for 3 YEARS! Thank you to everyone who builds up and supports our huge community! Huge shout-outs to Pixel Experience dev @jhenrique09 for working on and porting Face Unlock to Android 12 and to Krypton dev @jhonboy121 for coding a working App lock feature for A12 as well. Both features will be included in subsequent releases of Evolution X! As these 2 features are key features of a desired custom ROM, we're moving Evolution X forward to version 6.1!

After merging in PE's Face unlock implementation, Evolution X already gets reported by "rom developers" for using proprietary blobs. This is the same approach those other ROMs use in order to implement Face unlock for Android 12, but apparently, only EVO X is the SINGLE ROM to be reported. No reports including/indicating any of the other ROMs that implemented the same face unlock feature nor the ROM who implemented it in the first place. This is how Evolution X is being singled out by other "developers" full of envy and jealousy. I need to let our community know how desperate these other "ROM developers" are to take us down and that this is the treatment we get for trying to bring a better experience to our community. We've done nothing but credit the proper authors of several key features being added to the ROM and still, other "devs" treat Evolution X like this. This has been posted for our community's awareness, to show how far this "concerned android developer" is willing to go to take Evo X down.
