It was clearly propped up by the institutions and meant to ensnare ‘alternative-thinking youths’ into a destructive, go-nowhere existence. Last night we had about 30 young Aussies over for a 19th—fire going, pizzas, a bit of ping-pong. No chaos, no rubbish behaviour. Just good young people having a laugh and talking about their futures. Honestly, I walked away proud. These kids are doing the right thing. They’re having a proper crack at life. And it makes you wonder—why aren’t we doing everything we can to make that easier for them? Instead, they’re stepping into a system that feels harder than it needs to be. But deep down, most people know the answer isn’t complicated. It’s just common sense. Back our own people. Reward hard work. Make it easier to get ahead. Build a country where effort actually means something again. Because after seeing that group last night, one thing’s clear: The next generation isn’t the problem. They’re the opportunity. And if we get back to common sense, Australia’s future can still be bloody bright. 🇦🇺
