ABOUT WEBINAR:- Soil stabilization means the alteration of soil properties to meet specified engineering requirements. Stabilization methods are compaction and the use of additives. Lime, cement was commonly used as a stabilizer to alter the properties of soils. From recent studies it is observed that solid waste materials such as fly ash, rice husk ash are used for this purpose with or without lime or cement. Disposal of these waste materials is essential as they are causing dangerous effects in the environment. With the same intention, a review of the literature on the use of solid waste materials for soil stabilization was carried out and it is presented here.
