Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming a part of our everyday lives, and its role will only continue to expand. Join us this Sunday as Ir. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ewe Hong Tat shares valuable insights on how Buddhist practitioners can engage with and use AI wisely, intentionally, and with mindfulness.
Biography:
Ir. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ewe Hong Tat is currently the Senior Professor of the Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science, as well as the President/CEO of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class Hons) from the University of Malaya, a Master of Science from M.I.T. (USA), and a Ph.D. from Multimedia University.

As part of the upcoming 2026 Merdeka Blessings MahāSaṅghikadāna, Bandar Utama Buddhist Society (BUBS)—in co-organization with the United Buddhist Order of Malaysia (UBOM) and partner Buddhist organizations—will be taking on the role of providing core Sangha support. BUBS will be hosting approximately 100 monastics, providing their accommodation, transport, and meal dana during their stay at Uttama Bodhi Vihara (UBV).
