| 2 | Manjushri is the Bodhisattva of Wisdom — and wisdom, in this teaching, means wise dominion over yourself, your aura, and everything entrusted to your care.
Wisdom has been called the Mother of all Buddhas, for only wisdom can fully liberate a soul from suffering.
Manjushri is patron of arts and sciences, master of eloquence, and guardian of astrologers. Buddhist writers traditionally invoke his assistance before beginning a text.
Devotees call to him for intelligence, memory, understanding of the scriptures, and the power of clear communication.
In Tibetan iconography, Gautama Buddha is depicted with Manjushri at his left and Maitreya at his right — wisdom and compassion, the two sides of the bodhisattva path.
Manjushri is portrayed as a sixteen-year-old prince holding a lotus blossom bearing the Prajna Paramita scriptures in one hand, and in the other a flaming sword of wisdom that cuts through ignorance.
He took a vow to help the people of China and established his Pure Land in the Five-Mountain Paradise of northern China. He often appears there disguised as a poor man or an orphan. Only those who are truly purified can see him.
His counsel: do not stagnate. Take the nearest right action. This is the age of accelerated doingness.

| 3 | Lord Maitreya holds the office of Cosmic Christ and Planetary Buddha. His name means "loving kindness."
He and Gautama trained together for centuries under Sanat Kumara. Gautama won the buddhic degree first, by a narrow margin. Maitreya was given the next office — World Teacher.
As World Teacher, he designed the spiritual teaching needed for each two-thousand-year age. He is the Great Initiator — the teacher of Jesus, and the one who initiated Jesus in the individualization of the Christ flame.
Maitreya was guru of twin flames in the Garden of Eden, the first mystery school on earth, on Lemuria. He is the Lord God of Genesis.
Across Asia he is revered as the coming Buddha. In Chinese Buddhism he appears as the Laughing Buddha — jolly, pot-bellied, surrounded by children, a symbol of abundance and spiritual contentment.
When Gautama became Lord of the World in 1956, Maitreya succeeded him as Cosmic Christ. On May 31, 1984, he reopened his Mystery School for this age.
Maitreya is the Great Initiator, friend of all initiates of the sacred fire. His banner is a mighty clipper ship coming in with the tides to carry souls to another shore.

| 4 |  Today we begin a five-day series on the great Buddhas: Gautama, Maitreya, Manjushri, Kuan Yin, and Padma Sambhava.
We start with Gautama, born Prince Siddhartha in northern India around 563 B.C.
His father surrounded him with every luxury, determined to shield him from suffering. It worked until age twenty-nine, when four sights broke through the palace walls — an old man, a sick man, a corpse, and a wandering monk.
He left that night. Years of extreme asceticism followed, and then six years of near starvation that nearly killed him.
None of it gave him what he was looking for.
Enlightenment came differently. Seated under the Bo tree, he faced down every temptation Mara could send, touched the earth as his witness, and through the night that followed, realized the Four Noble Truths. "Darkness was dispelled, light arose."
For forty-five years he taught.
Today, as Lord of the World, Gautama Buddha sustains the threefold flame of life in every heart on earth — a filigree thread of light from his heart to yours.

| 5 |  Vairochana, one of the five Dhyani Buddhas, recently became the eighth member of the Karmic Board.
His name means "He Who Is Like the Sun" or "The Radiating One."
His wisdom is the Wisdom of the Dharmadhatu — the Realm of Truth, in which all things exist as they really are. It also represents the causal body around the I AM Presence on the Chart of Your Divine Self.
His role on the Karmic Board is to assist those who have light, are sincere, but have strayed from the path — teaching them what they need to know to make it all the way home.

| 6 |  Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, represents the seventh ray on the Karmic Board.
She is revered throughout the Far East as the Bodhisattva of Mercy, a compassionate mother figure devotees turn to in every area of life.
Her name, Kuan Shih Yin, means "the one who regards, looks on, or hears the sounds of the world." Legend tells that she paused at the threshold of heaven, moved by the cries of the world below.
She has interceded before the Lords of Karma on behalf of countless souls, pleading for the mercy that allows a soul to embody whole and pursue the light of the Law in freedom of mind and body.
Her retreat, the Temple of Mercy, is in the etheric plane over Peking, China.

| 7 | Portia, the Goddess of Justice, represents the sixth ray of service and ministration on the Karmic Board.
She is the twin flame of Saint Germain, and together they were crowned directors of the seventh dispensation of ordered service in 1954.
Through thousands of years of service on the seventh ray of justice, mercy, forgiveness and sacred ritual, she attained the embodiment of divine justice as divine opportunity.
She teaches that justice and mercy move together — "Mercy holdeth my hand for aye," she has said, "and Kuan Yin walks with me where'er I walk."

| 8 |  Pallas Athena, the Goddess of Truth, represents the fifth ray on the Karmic Board.
Her flame of truth is an intense emerald green, combining the blue power of God's will with the golden illumination of divine intelligence.
She was embodied as high priestess in the Temple of Truth on Atlantis, and later kept the flame of truth in ancient Greece as directress of the temple virgins and oracles at Delphi.
Her retreat, the Temple of Truth, is above the island of Crete, where souls are instructed in cosmic law, healing, mathematics and the laws of alchemy and precipitation.

| 9 | The Elohim Cyclopea represents the fourth ray of purity on the Karmic Board.
With his twin flame Virginia, he holds the focus of the All-Seeing Eye of God, ensouling the vision of the Creator for all life.

| 10 |  Ascended Lady Master Nada represents the third ray of divine love on the Karmic Board.
She is also the chohan of the sixth ray of peace, ministration and service.
On Atlantis, she served as a priestess in the Temple of Love and as a lawyer championing divine justice for the downtrodden.
In her final incarnation, she set aside her own career to keep the flame of love in deep meditation for her gifted brothers and sisters — a life of quiet, anonymous service.

| 11 |  The Goddess of Liberty represents the second ray on the Karmic Board.
She is the hierarch of the Temple of the Sun, her etheric retreat over the island of Manhattan, and she holds the God consciousness of liberty for the earth.
On Atlantis, she erected the Temple of the Sun, patterned after the Solar Temple in the Great Central Sun, dedicated to the threefold flame of liberty.

| 12 |  The Great Divine Director represents the first ray of God's holy will on the Karmic Board.
His causal body is a giant blue sphere surrounding the entire planet, holding the grids and forcefields through which the delivery of divine direction passes.
He has long served as the teacher of Saint Germain, Jesus and El Morya, and is qualified to serve as the manu of the seventh root race, destined to embody in South America.
He administers the Disc of Light, which focuses the whirling action of the violet flame to transmute misqualified substance in the four lower bodies.

| 13 |  The Karmic Board is a body of eight ascended masters who administer divine justice to this system of worlds.
They adjudicate karma, mercy and judgment on behalf of every lifestream — individual, group, national and planetary.
All souls pass before the Karmic Board before and after each incarnation on earth — receiving their assignment beforehand and a review of their performance at its conclusion.
The eight members each represent one of the seven rays, with Vairochana, one of the five Dhyani Buddhas, serving as the eighth member.
The Lords of Karma serve at the level of the Christ Self of mankind, daily weighing each soul's use of energy Above and below.

| 15 |  On Thursday, 11th June, the University of the Spirit welcomes Serapis Bey as our teacher for the next two weeks, through to Wednesday 24th June.
Serapis Bey is the chohan of the fourth ray of purity and the hierarch of the Ascension Temple and Retreat at Luxor, Egypt. This week we explored the ascension — and it is Serapis Bey who presides over the Ascension Temple at Luxor, where most souls receive the initiation of the ascension at the close of their final lifetime. His sessions arrive at precisely the right moment.
At Luxor, Serapis Bey teaches the requirements of the ascension and how to fulfil them.
Known as the Great Disciplinarian, he assists his students in the self-disciplines necessary for the ascension — the disciplining of the four lower bodies so that the Christ may use them as vehicles for service and attainment, and the acceleration of the threefold flame in the heart of every soul striving toward the goal.
You may wish to use this prayer each night to attend his sessions while your body sleeps:
Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit. Mighty I AM Presence and Holy Christ Self, I call to Archangel Michael and his legions of blue-lightning angels to protect and transport my soul clothed in her finer bodies to the retreat of the ascended master Serapis Bey at the Ascension Temple in Luxor this night. | 16 | THE ASCENSION
The ascension is our ultimate destiny — the spiritual acceleration of consciousness that marks the soul's permanent reunion with the I AM Presence.
Originally, the complete balancing of all personal karma was required before a soul could return to the heart of God. Now, by the mercy of God dispensed by the Lords of Karma, those who have balanced 51 percent of their karma can be given the blessing of the ascension.
The remaining karma is balanced from the ascended state through service to earth and her evolutions. When the Great Law has been fully satisfied, the soul proceeds on the high road of cosmic adventure in the eternally perfect reunion of man with God.
Three primary requirements prepare the soul for this moment: balancing the threefold flame — the plumes of divine love, divine wisdom and divine will brought into equal development in the secret chamber of the heart; fulfilling her divine mission on earth; and balancing that 51 percent of karma.
The ascension is available to every soul. The Ascended Master Lanello reminds us: you ascend daily. Every act of love, every decree given with a centred heart, every moment of genuine service weaves a strand of light back to the heart of your Presence.
We are on a journey home.
Karma is our teacher.
Reincarnation gives us opportunity.
The ascension is our goal.

| 17 |  REINCARNATION
The soul does not begin at birth. She travels through many embodiments, gathering light, balancing karma and moving steadily toward her reunion with the I AM Presence.
Reincarnation is the law of cosmic mercy that gives her the time she needs to make that journey.
Between each lifetime, the soul appears before the Karmic Board — a group of eight ascended masters and lady masters, also called the Lords of Karma.
In consultation with these compassionate counsellors, she reviews the life just concluded and plans the one ahead: the parents, the circumstances, the returning karma she will encounter, the lessons her soul most needs to learn.
She often chooses demanding circumstances precisely because they offer the greatest opportunity for growth.
The veil over past-life memory is drawn by cosmic law as a mercy. The records of every previous incarnation remain in the depths of the soul and shape who we are — our gifts, our instincts, our deepest affinities. But detailed memory of former lives would overwhelm the present.
Each lifetime is given fresh, with the full capacity of free will intact.
The ascended masters teach that the thoughts, feelings, beliefs, choices and deeds of past lives have shaped the conditions of this one — and that the thoughts, feelings, beliefs, choices and deeds of this life are shaping what comes next.
Understanding this turns every difficulty into an opportunity and every act of love into an investment in the soul's eternal journey.
Reincarnation gives us time to love more fully, to forgive completely, and to fulfil the mission we came to earth to accomplish.

| 19 |  Our karma is created by our thoughts, feelings, words and actions.
Hinduism and Buddhism teach that karma is a universal law of cause and effect. In the West we have heard it put simply: what goes around comes around. The Bible says it plainly — whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
The ascended masters teach that karma is a precise, impartial law. It shows us where we have invested light wisely and where we have invested light unwisely.
Karmic cycles can be short — warmth returned in a smile. They can also stretch across years, decades or lifetimes. When they do, we lose sight of their origin. What appears as good luck is our good karma returning. What appears as injustice is old energy returning for redemption.
There are three ways to balance negative karma: by enduring it, by service to life, and the most powerful of all — transmuting it through the violet flame.
