US Government Designates Host of NoBlogs.org a “Global Terrorist”
https://crimethinc.com/noblogs
On August 26, 2026, the United States government classified the Italian collective Autistici/Inventati as a “Specially Designated Global Terrorist,” citing the collective’s “far-left” politics to justify the designation.
Here, we discuss the implications of this step towards totalitarianism.

The US government has designated the Italian collective Autistici/Inventati, which produces the infrastructure of NoBlogs.org, a "Specially Designated Global Terrorist," freezing their assets and prohibiting all transactions with them——citing their "far-left" politics and the fact that they have provided services to "anti-fascist" groups for justification.
Autistici/Inventati is an activist-oriented tech project that offers encrypted communications tools, email, web hosting, secure chat, and video conferencing platforms for users who prefer to stay off corporate grids.
This is what the US government is shutting down as "terrorism."

It has been seven months and one day since ICE mercenaries in Minnesota executed Alex Pretti in cold blood in furtherance of state terrorism.
We honor those who immediately took action in the streets to chase off the murderers and show—with their actions—that a tragedy had taken place.
https://crimethinc.com/alexpretti
It is naïve to expect justice from the court system. The only way to ensure that federal agents stop murdering people is to build the collective capacity to stop them.
No judge is going to do this. No Democratic politician is going to abolish ICE for us.
The state and the mercenaries who serve it are our enemies. Organize grassroots resistance.

We've added an additional perspective from participants in the response to the murder of Corey Ruiz in Madison, Wisconsin—exploring what it would take to make police think twice before committing murder.
What does it take to stop police terror?

In January 2026, Modern Times, a for-profit café in Minneapolis, changed their business model to offer food to everyone for free, running on donations alone as a way to support the community through the ICE occupation and cease paying sales tax to an authoritarian government.
We've produced a zine offering an analysis of the experiment. Print and share.

Right now, police are attempting to evict Kasa Invisivel, an occupied social center and housing collective in Belo Horizonte, Brazil that has served for many years as a hub for mutual aid.

To Attack or to Mourn?
Police in Madison, Wisconsin murdered Corey Ruiz on July 22, 2026. In response, protesters established a weeks-long occupation.
Here, participants recount their experiences and discuss what it would take to establish a movement capable of putting an end to police violence.

Today marks eight years since anarchists and students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill tore down the Confederate monument Silent Sam, defying a state law prohibiting the removal of racist statues.
Don't wait on the authorities to address injustice. Direct action works.
https://crimethinc.com/Monuments
The toppling of monuments to slavery in Durham and Chapel Hill in 2017 and 2018 was, in part, a response to the fascist "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, during which a neo-Nazi murdered Heather Heyer.
Protesters in Durham and Chapel Hill demonstrated a tactic that spread widely during the George Floyd uprising of 2020, when people toppled scores of racist statues.

In January 2026, the owner of the Minneapolis café Modern Times announced that the café would suspend all prices and operate exclusively on donations, as a means of ceasing to supporting a community under siege and ceasing to pay sales tax to the government that was carrying out Operation Metro Surge.
We examine the successes and shortfalls of this experiment in building alternative economic power and counteracting informal forms of racial segregation.

As the movement against Flock cameras gathers momentum, we have reprinted a sticker attacking surveillance.
https://crimethinc.com/Surveillance2026
Flock is not the only surveillance company, and cameras are not the only form of surveillance. There are many other corporations waiting to fill the role that Flock cameras are playing, and many other means by which those who aim to dominate us seek to monitor and control our activities. It is good to compel local governments to cancel Flock contracts or directly disable Flock cameras, but the movement against Flock must become a movement against all of the interlocking structures of domination or it will only function as a pressure valve as those structures tighten their grip on our lives.
Put these up everywhere to identify the root of the problem.

In Lochiel, Arizona, a single ancient cottonwood tree stands in the way of the construction of Donald Trump's border wall. For two weeks, demonstrators have occupied the tree and defended it against construction crews and border patrol.

They invite you to act in solidarity with them, whether by traveling to join them or taking action where you are located. The border is everywhere—we can attack it everywhere.
It keeps getting hotter. Forest fires are spreading, people are dying in heat waves, but the millionaires and billionaires who control most of the wealth in our society keep digging us deeper into this disaster.
They are murdering the future. It's time to fight back.

The US Attorney’s Office in Minneapolis has charged fifteen people with “conspiracy to impede federal officers,” accusing them of defending their neighborhoods from ICE.

Carta a Carlo Giuliani
En el 25 aniversario de la batalla de Génova
https://crimethinc.com/2026/07/20/carta-a-carlo-giuliani-en-el-25-aniversario-de-la-batalla-de-genova

Raoul Vaneigem—Situationist, author, and lifelong aspiring revolutionary—has passed away at the age of 92.
"Anyone who talks about revolution and class struggle without referring explicitly to everyday life—without grasping what is subversive about love and positive in the refusal of constraints—has a corpse in his mouth."
