[Episode Notes of VC’s Secrets - Ep 01] 1. Digital Transformation - The boss of your business is your customer. Prioritise your solutions around providing a world-class customer experience. - On deploying your transformation strategy, do not jump right into technology if the organisation is not ready. Ensure that there is clarity of the digital objectives and how these are achieved across the organisation. - Rally your people to embrace an innovative culture where change and making mistakes through experimentation is the new normal. - With the correct mindset shift, empower your people with tools and skills, turning them from employees to enablers of your organisation. - Do not reinvent the wheel and leverage on existing technological solutions as much as possible. 2. V.C.S Framework - Validate: Is the problem that your product will solve important enough for customers to want to purchase it? Create a list of features, prioritise and test them. - Confirm: Do not get trap in over analysing the business. Prioritise tasks that are launch critical and get your MVP out into the market as soon as you can. This is where you go-live and test your product by gathering data from your paying customers. - Scale: Explore all possible channels and methods of getting customers to your business. This is an interactive process that requires constant monitoring of the data and making improvements to your funnel approach involving: Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Revenue and Referrals. Bottomline, if you don’t understand what you are doing, don’t do it! 2. Effect of Savings VS Inflation; Don't just save without a strategy! - In US, saving in the bank gives an interest rate of about 0.3%, yet the yearly inflation rate is 2.24% - If your countries’ inflation rate is higher than the bank’s interest rate, then are you really saving? 3. Power of Compounding Interest; Grow your wealth! - Between $10k a day for the next 30 days and $0.01 a day doubling everyday for the next 30 days, which would you choose? $10k a day after 30days = $300,000 $0.01 a day doubling everyday after 30 days = $5,368,709.12 Did you make a wise choice? 4. Portfolio Management; Protect your wealth! - Having a game plan and equipping yourself with the right knowledge can POTENTIALLY change your live! You should understand the purpose of your portfolio before deciding what kind of strategy to apply! - For example: If you are still growing your portfolio, you might want to allocate more % into more aggressive funds to grow it.
