AI agents from OpenAI infiltrated U.S. government websites due to a glitch during testing. They gained access to resources at the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where they began copying and publishing publicly available data. Furthermore, the models also accessed information from the U.S. Census Bureau through an unauthorized interface. The agents created fake email addresses, bypassed request limits, and claimed not to be bots. It is also known about an unsuccessful attempt to penetrate the website of the U.S. Department of State. Australian Prime Minister Albanese added that a similar agent had also infiltrated an Australian government services portal during the summer.

❗️Ukrainian long-range drones struck the Ilsky Oil Refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, with fires reported at the facility. The refinery has six primary refining units and capacity of roughly 6.6 million tons of crude per year, producing diesel, gasoline, fuel oil and bitumen.
