16	/tm27 transmediale RFC 40 groundstates & fragile currents As the days get warmer in Berlin, we have hot news to share: the titles and theme of the 40th anniversary edition! 🔥 Under the title groundstates, the festival’s programme will take place during the last week of January 2027 in silent green Kulturquartier. The exhibition fragile currents will be on show at the Akademie der Künste (Hanseatenweg) until March. Curated by Barbara Cueto, the festival revolves around the human scale of technology, resisting the expectation of a single technological future. groundstates presents four days of discursive and performative programme. The exhibition, curated by Antonina Stebur, treats infrastructural breakdown not as a moment of collapse but as a condition from which other forms of organisation can emerge. fragile currents presents a series of installations and a public programme developed with international partners.
