Tokio Hotel — The Lore
Tokio Hotel is a German rock band formed in 2001 by Bill and Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing, and Gustav Schäfer. They started as Devilish, blew up with Schrei in 2005, then went international with Zimmer 483 and Scream in 2007. “Monsoon,” “Ready, Set, Go!” and “Don’t Jump” turned them into global stars. By 2008, they were collecting awards, including an MTV VMA—making them the first German band to win one. After a vocal-cord issue and surgery, they came back stronger. Then came Humanoid, massive world tours, the LA era, and a whole new electronic sound. Fast-forward to 2026: after 2001 and singles like “Changes,” “California Nights,” “Memory Lane” and “Without You,” Tokio Hotel are entering their Encore era. 2001 → Schrei → global fame → Humanoid → world tours → 2001 → Encore. 20+ years later and they’re still perfect
