Masjids Belong to Allah Alone and Are Not the Private Property of Any Individual, Family, Committee, or Group
Allah declares that the masjids belong to Him:
﴿وَأَنَّ ٱلْمَسَـٰجِدَ للهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللهِ أَحَدًا﴾
"And the masjids are for Allah, so do not invoke anyone along with Allah." [Surah Al-Jinn 72:18]»
This āyah establishes that the purpose and ultimate ownership of every masjid belong to Allah alone.
Ownership in a legal sense—such as holding the title deeds or administering a waqf (endowment)—does not grant anyone the right to treat a masjid as personal property or to prevent Muslims from benefitting from it without a valid Shar'i reason.
Likewise, building a masjid does not make it one's personal property. The builder(s) receive the reward, but not perpetual personal control over Allah's House.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
«مَنْ بَنَى للهِ مَسْجِدًا يَبْتَغِي بِهِ وَجْهَ اللهِ بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ مِثْلَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»
"Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, seeking thereby the Face of Allah, Allah will build for him a similar house in Paradise." [Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim]
Once a masjid has been established as a waqf, it ceases to be personal property and becomes dedicated to the worship of Allah.
This means that it cannot be inherited, sold as personal property, or treated as belonging to the founder or the founder's family.
The founder's reward continues, but the masjid itself remains an endowment dedicated to Allah for the benefit of the Muslims.
Preventing Muslims from Allah's Masjids Is a Grave Matter
Allah says:
"And who is more unjust than one who prevents Allah's name from being mentioned in His masjids and strives for their destruction?" [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:114]
This does not mean that anyone may enter a masjid and do whatever they wish. The masjid must be protected from innovations, disorder, and activities contrary to the Qur'an and Sunnah. However, excluding Muslims cannot be based on personal ownership, tribal affiliation, ethnicity, or organisational rivalry.
Masjids Must Unite the Muslims!
Allah commanded concerning Masjid ad-Dirār:
«﴿لَا تَقُمْ فِيهِ أَبَدًا﴾
"Never stand therein." [Surah At-Tawbah 9:108]
Masjid ad-Dirār was established to divide the Muslims rather than unite them.
Therefore, masjids should unite the people upon the Qur'an and the authentic Sunnah—not become the property or symbol of individuals, families, committees, or factions.
The Role of the Masjid Management
Those who manage a masjid are trustees, not owners. They are entrusted with maintaining the masjid, organising its affairs, and serving the interests of the Muslims in accordance with the Sharī'ah.
Their responsibility is one of stewardship, not ownership. They do not own the masjid, nor do they possess unrestricted authority over it.

Steadfastness
🎙Abu Muqbil Al-Banghali

Are You Going to Wake up Tomorrow?
Who promised you that you'll wake up tomorrow? Who guaranteed that you'll have another chance to repent, to pray, to seek Allah's forgiveness, or to make things right?
Look how quickly circumstances can change.
Did those 900+ Venezuelans expect that such a decree would suddenly befall them? Did those who attended that music festival know what awaited them before they left their homes? None of them believed that day would unfold the way it did.
We often live as though tomorrow is guaranteed, but none of us has been given that promise. Death does not wait for old age, good health, or a convenient time.
If there is a sin you've been delaying leaving, leave it today. If there is a prayer you've been neglecting, return to it today. If there is a wrong that needs correcting, correct it today. If there is repentance you've been postponing, make tawbah today.
Turn back to Allah before it's too late. His door of mercy remains open as long as your soul has not reached your throat and the sun has not risen from the west. Don't let procrastination become regret. Today is an opportunity that tomorrow may never bring.
Shaykh Abdullah Lamh’s research is very timely, given how widely these weak narrations are being circulated, with some people even ascribing them to Shaykh Rabeeʿ without proper referencing.

LESSON 15 ⤵️
https://youtu.be/GXscuLua9ag
Summary:
In this lesson we cover the first half of Bāb al-Ḥayḍ wa an-Nifās. This is a chapter that studies the rulings related to menstruation (ḥayḍ) and postpartum bleeding (nifās). It covers topics such as the signs and duration of these conditions, acts of worship affected by them (such as prayer, fasting, and tawaf), purification after they end, and the distinctions between menstrual, postpartum, and irregular bleeding.

Heatwave Tips for Niqabis
Enquiry:How do I get around and still maintain my modesty during a heatwave?
Advice:1⃣. Stay home if you can If you don't need to be out and about, your home is the best place to stay cool and comfortable. - Keep curtains or blinds closed during the hottest parts of the day. - Open windows when the air outside is cooler. - Use fans where possible. - Stay well hydrated throughout the day. - Avoid unnecessary physical exertion during peak heat hours. 2⃣. If you do need to go out, here are some practical tips a. Carry cold water with you Invest in a good insulated water bottle, such as a Stanley tumbler or similar. Fill it with ice and cold water before leaving home so you can stay hydrated throughout the day. b. Reassess your layers Do you really need all those layers? If your outer garment already fulfils the requirements of hijab Shar'ee, it may not matter as much what is underneath. Heavy underlayers, thick leggings, tights, or multiple garments can trap heat and make the weather much harder to manage. Choose lightweight, breathable fabrics where possible. c. Choose heat-friendly fabrics Natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, and lightweight blends generally allow better airflow than synthetic materials. Lighter colours can also help reflect sunlight rather than absorb it. d. Consider palm-cooling devices Research has shown that cooling the palms can help lower perceived body temperature and improve comfort. Small palm-cooling devices may be worth exploring and can often be worn discreetly beneath gloves. e. Look into cooling vests Cooling vests are becoming increasingly popular among athletes, outdoor workers, and those exposed to extreme heat. To give an example, Adidas recently introduced its CLIMACOOL system, which is being used in preparation for the 2026 World Cup. The system includes: - A frozen cooling vest - An insulating outer jacket - Cooling overshoes The aim is to reduce core and skin temperature before activity and aid recovery afterwards. Consumer versions of cooling vests are also available and may be useful for those who need to spend extended periods outdoors. f. Plan your journeys wisely - Travel early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are lower. - Seek shaded routes where possible. - Limit the amount of time spent standing in direct sunlight. - Take regular breaks indoors if you're out for long periods. g. Use cooling accessories Cooling towels, neck wraps, portable fans, and misting sprays can all make a noticeable difference without affecting your modest dress. May Allah grant immense reward to our niqabi sisters who remain steadfast upon modesty. Āmīn.
Fasting During the Heatwave
Enquiry:Should we fast in the UK despite the heatwave?
Advice:I was speaking to a good friend of mine in Saudi Arabia. He asked how things were in the UK and whether there was anything new. I replied, “Alhamdulillah, all is well. The only real update is the heatwave. Temperatures have reached around 33°C, which is unusually high for us.” His response was:« "يا رجل احنا فوق ٥٠" “(Come on) man, we're over 50°C.” So, in answer to the question: if people are able to cope with temperatures exceeding 50°C, then by Allah's permission we can manage temperatures below 40°C. As for fasting, my advice would be to have suhoor, make the intention, and begin the day intending to fast both Tāsūʿāʾ and ʿĀshūrāʾ. If, at any point during the day, you genuinely feel unable to continue due to dizziness, severe thirst, fear of fainting, or similar hardship, then you may break your fast. Since it is a voluntary fast, there is no sin upon you for doing so. This approach is better than not trying at all. In either case, you stand to gain one of two great rewards: 1⃣. You complete the fast despite the heat If Allah enables you to complete the fast, then the hardship endured brings increased reward. Allah says: “That is because they suffer neither thirst, nor fatigue, nor hunger in the cause of Allah... except that it is recorded for them as a righteous deed. Indeed, Allah does not allow the reward of the doers of good to be lost.” [At-Tawbah 9:120] And the Prophet ﷺ said to ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her): “Your reward is according to the hardship you endure.” The scholars explained that when hardship is inseparable from an act of worship and not self-imposed, an increase in hardship can result in an increase in reward. 2⃣. You intend to fast but are forced to break it If you begin the day sincerely intending to fast and later have to break your fast due to genuine inability, then we hope that Allah will reward you according to your intention and the effort you made. The point is not to deprive yourself of the opportunity from the outset. Make the intention, take the means, and trust in Allah. If He enables you to complete the fast, then alhamdulillah. If circumstances force you to break it, then alhamdulillah — you still set out seeking His pleasure and reward. Reflect: Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that while on a ship, a caller proclaimed: "Allah has decreed upon Himself that whoever makes himself thirsty for His sake on a hot day, Allah will give him drink on the Day of Resurrection." Thereafter, Abū Mūsā would deliberately fast on the hottest and most scorching days. One of the righteous women of the Salaf would specifically choose the hottest days to fast. When asked why, she replied: "When goods become cheap, everyone buys them." Meaning: she sought those deeds that few people were willing to undertake because of their difficulty. Many of the righteous predecessors would weep at the approach of death, not out of fear of dying, but because they would no longer experience the thirst of hot fasting days and the worship of long winter nights. Despite this, Islam does not require a person to harm themselves. Imām Aḥmad rahimahullah was asked about a fasting person suffering from severe heat and said: "There is no harm in wetting a cloth to cool oneself with it or pouring water over oneself." Likewise, one of the companions (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pouring water over his head while fasting due to thirst or heat."
