The letters P, O, R, N would all be connected in the alphabet if it wasn't for the letter Q.

I really like Navessa Allen's books. Her writing is straightforward and easy to follow without ever feeling simplistic. Unlike some authors whose stories can feel like they're trying too hard to shock the reader, Navessa's books feel natural and effortless. Things stay believable, which makes it so much easier for me to stay emotionally invested in what's happening. She doesn't overwhelm you with unnecessary details, and the flow is so smooth that it's effortless to get immersed in the story. The plot always moves forward with purpose, every scene feels like it belongs there, and the details support the story instead of distracting from it. There's no need to keep track of twenty side characters or a dozen complicated subplots. The pacing is one of my favorite things about her books. It keeps me turning pages nonstop without ever feeling rushed. At this point, she's officially become one of my comfort authors.

Why is a hickey considered inappropriate, but being visibly pregnant isn't? Aren't they both evidence of the same activity?
