🆕 Apple unveils new Mac mini and Mac Studio
🙂 Mac mini gets the M6 chip: Apple's first 2nm silicon, packing 12 cores and graphics with memory bandwidth up to 160 GB/s. The base model with 16GB RAM and M6 starts at $899, while M5 Pro configurations start at $1,699.
🙂 Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips offers up to 36 CPU cores, 80 GPU cores, and up to 512GB of unified memory with bandwidth up to 1.2 TB/s. Pricing starts at $2,499 for the M5 Max version and $5,499 for M5 Ultra.
🔎 Both machines feature the new Apple N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support, plus storage speeds up to 15 GB/s (twice as fast as before). Mac mini comes standard with 2.5 Gbit Ethernet, upgradeable to 10 Gbit.

ℹ️ To do any of this, it needs to hoover up your entire message history first. That means your bank's SMS notifications, financial details, inside jokes, personal stuff with friends and family, all of it gets fed in, presumably so that when you ask "what should I get my friend for their birthday," it can hallucinate something halfway decent.
🤖 OpenAI says the bot won't just start firing off messages to random people without your permission. Whether that holds up in practice is something users get to find out themselves.

🔎 A short clip found in the pre-release build of macOS 26.7 shows someone holding a book close to their face at just the right angle for the cameras built into the upcoming AirPods.
🤪 Siri's voiceover explains that all you need to do is ask her to remember something you've seen, and she'll save it. The assistant will also be able to read the surrounding environment through the cameras — for instance, giving an accurate weather forecast based on what it sees. And if your hair covers the earbuds, Siri will politely ask you to move it.
📷 The firmware also contains references to a codename, B790 which is reportedly the internal name for the upcoming camera-equipped AirPods.

Klarna will be the financial partner behind the program, taking on the credit risk instead of Apple
ℹ️ Not everything qualifies — the Apple Watch SE, entry-level iPad, iPhone 16, and MacBook Neo won't be part of the program, and business/education purchases are excluded. Also worth noting: unlike the existing iPhone Upgrade Program, Apple Upgrade won't include AppleCare.
