Yesterday, on Independence Day, we visited and paid tribute to the graves of national hero Merab Kostava, the first president of Georgia Zviad Gamsakhurdia, and other prominent Georgians. Glory to them! Glory to Georgia!

On May 26, 1918, Georgia seceded from the Russian Empire and became an independent republic - the National Council adopted the "Act of State Independence of Georgia". The Democratic Republic of Georgia ceased to exist on February 25, 1921, due to the Soviet occupation and annexation. On the same day, May 26, 1939, the national hero of Georgia and the leader of the national movement, the conscience of the nation - Merab Kostava was born. Long live him. Крім нашої дати, певну річницю відмічають наші одноклубники з Тбілісі та Загребу. 1. 35 років тому відбувся «Матч Ненависті» між Динамо Загреб та Црвеною Звєздою, який закінчився масовими заворушеннями між фанатами та югославською поліцією. Саме з цієї дати рахується відлік розвалу Югославії. Відео про цю подію за посиланням. 2. 43 роки тому Динамо Тбілісі перемогло в Кубку володарів кубків. Як самі грузини зазначають: Перемога "Динамо" під російською окупацією стала джерелом самовираження та національного духу грузинського народу. "Динамо", у складі кращих грузинських футболістів, було фактично збірною Грузії і було символом і рушійною силою грузинської ідентичності. 🇺🇦🇭🇷🇬🇪

Another Georgian fell in the fight against the Eurasianist horde on Ukrainian land - Tabo Arkania. Tabo and his family were internally displaced from Abkhazia. Tabo himself lived in Ukraine. 🇬🇪🇺🇦 Eternal glory to the heroes! @georgianfront14

Today we remember Shalva Maghlakelidze. On May 2, 1893, Shalva Maghlakelidze was born - the founder and commander of the Georgian Legion of the Wehrmacht, a military and political figure, a Major General and a lawyer. During the existence of the Democratic Republic of Georgia, he made a significant contribution, both politically and militarily. During World War II, he laid the foundation for military units composed of Georgian emigrants and began the fight for the liberation of Georgia. Today, many consider him a traitor thanks to Soviet propaganda, although we know the truth, remember him and are proud of him. Glory to General Maghlakelidze! @georgianfront14

Today we remember the Georgian hero - Giorgi Janelidze. Giorgi Janelidze, aka "Satan", died on April 18, 2015, fighting against the Russians on Ukrainian land. He was an instructor and fighter of the Azov Battalion. He fought against the Russians in the August 2008 war. Giorgi was remembered by his comrades as a brave, indomitable, leader and worthy warrior who made a significant contribution to the formation of the Azov Battalion. His struggle will certainly bring victory to Ukraine and Georgia. Glory to the heroes! @georgianfront14

Today is Mother Language Day. On April 14, 1978, the Soviet government decided to abolish the state status of the Georgian language. In response, tens of thousands of Georgian patriots protested this decision and ultimately defended their native language. The Kremlin had to make concessions, and the Georgian language retained its state status. The peaceful demonstration of April 14, 1978 had a great influence on the national liberation movement in subsequent years and was of great importance in the struggle for Georgia's independence. We remember history and will never allow Georgia to be re-Sovietized, which the current traitorous government of Georgia is selflessly trying to do. Glory to Georgia! 🇬🇪
