Sometimes I find myself wondering if I truly understand women.
I prefer to think of every human I interact with as just a human being, but taking the time to understand masculinity has helped me understand the men in my life a bit more.
Maybe I need to do the same with femininity? Just a thought
| 2 |  As I’ve mentioned before, me and @type_habesha are working on a paper studying the effects typefaces have on political perception. A major part of the paper is the survey results, so we’ve prepared an anonymous survey with both English and Amharic variants showcasing different types of Ethiopic fonts.
We’d really appreciate it if you could fill out both survey forms, in Amharic and English. The survey will remain open for months to come, so it would be a huge help if you could share it with as many people as possible, especially people from diverse backgrounds. Thank you all in advance! 💕🌷

Mental Health Sunday
In my personal experience and also from many media I've consumed, It seems reasonable to say that for most men, their first response to any issue is one of 2 things
- Problem solving
- Crashing out
Problem solving would seem to be a good response to encountaring issues but the attrmpt is ussually only to provide a response or solution for the immediate issue, not for any deeper or more fundemantal issues that may result in later issues.
Others just crash out, become entirely too angry. For some this is clearly preformative, while others it is the only way they know how to respond.
Either way, as men, it feels we are limited in the ways we are allowed to process and respond to certain situations.

this has been done before, but not in the shear quantity id imagine witch hat attelier uses it

Mental Health Sundays
Abuse comes in many forms, more forms than you would even assume. In todays MHS, id like to go through some of the more common yet accepted forms of abuse.
Silent treatment: the deliberate avoiding of eye contact and verbal communication. Silence is a common defense mechanism, but silent treatment is a deliberate choosing of silence for the goal of causing the target distress. Many studies show that continued use of silent treatment has an extremely negative effect on the targets psychological health.
Love bombing: excessive displays of affection, more than is what is normal, towards a person. While displays of affection can be momentary and at some moments outshine the norm, in lovebombing the displays are made to be overwhelming by design. The intent is to hide or divert the targets attention from previous grievences or violations of trust.
Fear based Manipulation: inducing fear in a target to control their behaviour. This is a more common form of manipulation over the abuse based manipulation (manipulation through either physical harm or threat of physical harm). This manipulation uses power imbalance in relationships to create fear that is then used to control the target.
Conditional love: When ones affection or attention to another is based on one's interest. Inconsistent affection triggers that part of our brain that causes addiction. This added on the conditions for affection results in extreme manipulation.
There are obviosly more types of common abuses, and the ones above are shortened for the sake of brevity. Ultimately its important to understand: Even if someones behaviours is societly accepted, it can still be harmful and its important to protect oneself from it.
