As prices rose sharply, investors and traders tended to take profits, which increased selling in the market, putting pressure on gold prices. At the same time, the strengthening of the US dollar in the international market and the increase in US Treasury bond yields also had a negative impact on gold prices. Especially as tensions in West Asia eased somewhat, the demand for gold as a safe investment decreased. As a result, foreign investors tended to prefer the dollar and US government bonds over gold. In the wake of these developments, gold prices in the domestic market declined. On Wednesday, July 29, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold is trading at Rs. 1,43,510, down by Rs. 660. However, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold is also down by Rs. 600 to Rs. 1,31,550. The price of silver remains stable at Rs. 2,35,000 per kg.
