Isobar Isotope Isomer Isotone 1. Isobar:Definition: Isobars are atoms of different elements that have the same mass number (total number of protons and neutrons). • Key Feature:  They have the same atomic mass but different atomic numbers (number of protons). • Example: Carbon-14 (6 protons, 8 neutrons) and Nitrogen-14 (7 protons, 7 neutrons) are isobars. 2. Isotope:Definition: Isotopes are atoms of the same element that have the same atomic number (number of protons) but different mass numbers (total number of protons and neutrons). • Key Feature: They have the same number of protons but different numbers of neutrons. • Example: Carbon-12 (6 protons, 6 neutrons) and Carbon-14 (6 protons, 8 neutrons) are isotopes of carbon. 3. Isomer:Definition: Isomers are molecules that have the same molecular formula (same types and numbers of atoms) but different structural arrangements. • Key Feature: They have the same chemical formula but different spatial arrangements of atoms. • Example: Glucose and Fructose both have the formula C6H12O6, but they have different arrangements of atoms, making them isomers. 4. Isotone:Definition: Isotones are atoms of different elements that have the same number of neutrons. • Key Feature: They have the same number of neutrons but different numbers of protons and electrons. • Example: Carbon-14 (6 protons, 8 neutrons) and Nitrogen-15 (7 protons, 8 neutrons) are isotones.

Ecological pyramids are graphical representations of the trophic structure of an ecosystem, showing the relationships between different species and their energy flow. There are three main types of ecological pyramids: Pyramid of Numbers, Pyramid of Biomass, and Pyramid of Energy. 1. Pyramid of Numbers: This pyramid shows the number of individuals at each trophic level. The base of the pyramid represents the producers (plants), and each subsequent level represents the number of individuals in each trophic level. 2. Pyramid of Biomass: This pyramid represents the total biomass (mass of living organisms) at each trophic level. 3. Pyramid of Energy: This pyramid represents the energy available at each trophic level. • The pyramid is typically upright, with a large base and decreasing energy at each level. • It shows the energy flow through an ecosystem, with energy being lost at each trophic level.
