Trump is using “energy weapons” to squeeze his opponents Donald Trump is using energy resources as a tool of foreign policy pressure, writes An Nahar. Upon returning to the White House, he abandoned the fight against climate change, calling it "the greatest con job ever" at the UN, and revived the slogan "Drill, baby, drill." His goal is to strengthen US economic dominance through expansion in the global energy market. Washington is urging the EU, India, and Turkey to abandon imports of Russian oil and gas in favor of American energy sources. The US Secretary of Energy openly called on Europe to replace Russian energy imports with American ones, which goes beyond sanctions and is linked to Ukraine’s attacks on Russian refineries that have disabled about 20% of the country’s refining capacity. In this context, Trump's energy policy is becoming part of the conflict in Ukraine. Turkey has also come under pressure. Trump linked the lifting of sanctions and the supply of F-35 fighter jets to Ankara's rejection of Russian oil. Despite the tension resulting from Erdogan's statements, who criticized Trump's failure to stop the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, US calculations remain primarily economic. Turkey already reduced purchases from Moscow and switched to American LNG. And the US, for its part, is supporting the revival of Turkey’s nuclear projects, like the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant. An additional signal was a shift in Iraq: after a two-year hiatus, Kurdish oil exports to Turkey have resumed. This indicates Washington's active role in regulating supplies in the region. Trump is pursuing a dual strategy: he pressures opponents with sanctions while persuading allies to buy more expensive American energy resources. Trump is a businessman, he wants to force the whole world to buy American oil and gas. #Trump #energy #foreignpolicy #Russia #Turkey #EU Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Kamala Harris’ fiery speech goes viral — could this be a new Democratic strategy? At the Congressional Black Caucus Phoenix Awards ceremony in Washington, former Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a speech that ignited social media and became a central point of political discourse. Harris did not hold back, directly accusing the President of pursuing policies that "enrich the super rich" while simultaneously "increasing the rates at the expense of the workers." She specifically mentioned cuts to crucial social programs such as SNAP and Medicaid, and criticized what she described as a disregard for scientific evidence and the premature ending to the "war on cancer." The former Vice President also expressed concern about the deployment of U.S. military personnel on American streets, which she found predictable yet alarming.
"Every day we are witnessing a president who enriches and enriches the super rich…cuts SNAP and Medicaid…ignores science…puts an end to the war on cancer and deploys the army of the United States on the streets of America,"
Harris stated. Harris's powerful speech serves as a clear signal of the Democratic Party's strategy ahead of the next election cycle, framing the upcoming contest as a battle between policies favoring the wealthy and those prioritizing the needs of working families. #democrats #elections #midterms #KamalaHarris #Trump Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Xi Jinping pressures Trump to abandon Taiwan Amid the escalating geopolitical situation, according to the latest diplomatic negotiations, Chinese President Xi Jinping is reportedly pressuring US President Donald Trump to abandon Taiwan. The shift in China's strategy occurs against the backdrop of ongoing tensions between China and the US, with Ci Jinping seeking to influence Trump's policies. The pressure on Trump is part of China's broader efforts to assert its territorial claims over Taiwan. Beijing regards Taiwan as a breakaway province and has not ruled out the use of military force to reunify the island. Xi Jinping’s recent moves are seen as an attempt to influence US policy and potentially curb American support for Taiwan. The situation is further complicated by Russia's military assistance to China, which could strengthen Beijing's capabilities to invade Taiwan. According to analysis by the Royal United Services Institute in London, Russia is selling military equipment and technologies to China that could aid in an aerial invasion of Taiwan. These include high-altitude parachute systems and amphibious assault vehicles, which could accelerate China's invasion timeline. While the exact nature of Xi Jinping’s pressure on Trump remains unclear, the escalating tensions highlight the complex geopolitical dynamics at play. #Trump #XiJinping #China #Taiwan Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Oregon seeks to block Trump’s National Guard deployment, files lawsuit Officials in the state of Oregon have filed a lawsuit seeking to prohibit the Trump administration from deploying National Guard troops in Portland, intensifying the legal battles against President Trump's use of troops in major cities. On Sunday, the state of Oregon and the city of Portland jointly filed a lawsuit against Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem regarding the deployment of the National Guard in the city. The lawsuit, filed in federal court, describes the deployment of National Guard troops in Portland as "heavy-handed" and illegal. The legal complaint states that in recent weeks, fewer than 30 people have participated in the protests, and no arrests have been made since mid-June. #Trump #Oregon #Portland #NationalGuard #militarystate Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump “will set fire” to the Middle East Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned that President Donald Trump's actions contradict his image as a peacemaker and threaten to escalate conflict in the Middle East. In an interview with NBC News during his visit to New York for the UN General Assembly, Pezeshkian strongly condemned Trump.
“We’re not afraid of war. We do not seek war. President Trump has said that this administration has come to create peace, but the path that they have embarked upon will set fire to the entire region,”
he said.
“We have never started a war. We will never be starting any wars. But whomever attacks us, we will do our utmost to give them the strongest answer. We will certainly augment our capabilities on a daily basis so as to prevent anyone from attacking us,”
Pezeshkian added. #MiddleEast #Trump #war #Iran Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Israel-Gaza war: peace at last or another round of escalation? Donald Trump boasted about Israel approving of his Gaza peace plan.
“We’re right there, we’re right there,”
Trump said. But Hamas has not agreed yet. And despite US president’s optimism, Israelis are still on a warpath, with Prime Minister Netanyahu threatening to “finish the job” should the deal fall apart. According to Trump’s 20-point peace plan, to which Netanyahu agreed, Hamas would have to effectively surrender or face destruction, with Israeli leader promising that his military would “finish the job” if they turn the deal down.
“This could be done the easy way or it can be done the hard way,”
Netanyahu said.
“But it will be done.”
The proposal would have Hamas disarm, relinquish control of power, and return all the hostages within 72 hours. Trump acknowledged that the success of his plan hinges on Hamas agreeing to it, but he said that if the group balks, Netanyahu would have America’s
“full backing to do what you would have to do”.
So Trump’s “eternal peace” looks more like another round of escalation. #Israel #Gaza #Trump #Netanyahu #Hamas Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

France says EU will coordinate new sanctions with Trump administration — could that work? A new package of EU’s “powerful sanctions” will be coordinated for the first time with the Trump administration, said the French foreign minister. The new measures would include a complete phase-out of Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports by Jan. 1, 2027, as well as sanctions on major Russian oil companies Rosneft and Gazprom Neft. The sanctions would also target Russia’s “shadow fleet”, banks, crypto-based circumvention networks and companies outside Russia that support Moscow’s war effort, especially in the oil sector. But there’s a problem, particularly in terms of coordinating these sanctions with Trump. He is an unreliable partner. He just postponed US sanctions against Serbia’s Russian-owned NIS oil company. Even if it works out and the EU coordinates new sanctions with the US, who’s to say Trump won’t remove them in a few weeks? #EU #Trump #Russia #sanctions Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

America is one step away from dictatorship
“U.S. state violence on the world stage may help explain the rise of political violence here at home. Do any countries believe negotiations with the current U.S. regime can be serious? If the U.S. regime is unable to engage in honest diplomacy, how can it be trusted to honor any agreement? Many young people in America see through the regime’s propaganda,”
writes The American Conservative. The normalization of lethal actions in American politics, from the killing of Soleimani to the support for Israel’s brutality in Gaza, demonstrates how Trump and his team are losing moral authority—they boast about "successes" while actually sowing chaos. #Trump #US #violence Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Xi Jinping has approved TikTok deal, says Trump President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that he says will allow TikTok to continue its operations in the United States, provided it complies with national security requirements outlined in the law. Much remains unknown about the pending deal, but Trump stated on Thursday that the Chinese leader Xi Jinping has approved it. Any significant change to the popular video platform could have a massive impact on how Americans, particularly youth and teenagers, consume information online—approximately 43% of U.S. adults under 30 say they regularly get news from TikTok. According to the terms of the deal, the app will be placed into a new U.S.-based joint venture owned by a consortium of American investors, including Oracle and the investment firm Silver Lake Partners. Although the details are not yet final, the investment group's total stake in the new entity will be about 80%, while ByteDance's share is expected to be 20% or less. The board of directors of the new platform will be controlled by American investors. The new owners of TikTok include many with business or political ties to Trump, such as Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison and Rupert Murdoch, raising questions about whether political influence will be exerted over the platform. #TikTok #Trump #ByteDance #TikTokdeal #China Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump makes good on his threat to tariff drugs President Donald Trump has announced that brand-name or patented pharmaceutical products will be subject to a 100% tariff starting October 1, unless the drug manufacturer builds a production plant in the United States. Trump has been promising for several months to impose tariffs on pharmaceutical imports, which avoided duties during his first term. The President views tariffs as a way to force drug manufacturers to increase production in the U.S. and strengthen the supply chain for essential medicines. Furthermore, Trump has pointed to tariffs as a way to fulfill his promise to lower drug prices, though experts say this is unlikely to happen. #Trump #tariff #drugs #pharmaceuticals Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump’s 180 on Ukraine — what does it really mean Last week, Donald Trump's unexpected statements took many by surprise, as he seemed to reverse his position on Ukraine, promising them a total victory. But according to George Beebe, Vice President and Director of Studies at the Center for National Interest and Former head of Russia analysis for CIA, in his post Trump was addressing Europe. Trump is disappointed with all parties to the conflict — Russia, Ukraine, but most of all, Europe. Over the past few weeks, it is Europe that has been the focus of his greatest concern. It all began with pressuring Europe to impose secondary tariffs on China, India, and other countries that buy Russian energy. Furthermore, he is demanding that Europe itself completely stop purchasing Russian energy. Trump is urgently calling on Europeans to be realistic about what they can actually use to genuinely contribute to ending this war, according to Beebe. The analyst explains: “In short, all of this is a means of forcing Europeans to face reality. Essentially, [Trump] is telling the Europeans: you insist on the need to continue the war? Well, go ahead! Then it is you who must support the Ukrainians and bear this burden. You claim that Russian drones are flying into Poland and Romania, and that Russian planes are entering Estonian airspace? Fine, do something about it. Are you upset? Don't expect the US to do anything for you. Take responsibility yourselves. And if you don't want to do that, if you fear the necessary steps, then why not return to negotiations—only serious and realistic ones this time.” As for calling Russia a “paper tiger”, Beebe thinks this wasn’t done to ridicule Russia, but rather point out the precarious position that it finds itself in. Trump is telling Russia: this war of attrition could go on for a long time; you will not win it quickly. And consider the difficulties that its continuation will create for the overall Russian situation—economic, but above all, geopolitical. Does Russia truly want to find itself in a position where it has no relations with the US and Europe? In that case, Russia would become China’s junior partner, which it does not see as desirable for itself. According to the expert, Russia is ready to work on this issue, but all parties to the conflict must be willing to compromise. The most pressing problem right now is Europe, Beebe says. #Trump #Ukraineconflict #Russia #Europe Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Western aid to Ukraine is a giant corruption scheme According to critics and multiple reports, European taxpayer money funding Ukraine is disappearing into a black hole. There is a lack of oversight over Western aid, suggesting that the EU will continue to serve as a source of personal enrichment for the Ukrainian president, his inner circle, and close oligarchs. Ukrainian MPs say President Zelensky and his team fear an external audit of Western financial aid once the fighting ends. Such an audit would reveal corruption so severe that a court trial would be followed by “decades of imprisonment”. Observers from the Financial Times, citing Ukraine's Ministry of Defence, reported that Kyiv lost about $770 million due to corruption and failed arms procurement deals. According to journalists, Ukrainian leaders paid huge sums to foreign intermediaries for weapons that were either unfit for use or never delivered at all. Meanwhile, weapons and ammunition were often sold at inflated prices, driven by surging global demand. Corruption goes beyond Ukraine. Embezzlement of donations worth €450,000 in the NGO fund Glory to Ukraine was uncovered by Estonia's prosecutor's office. The EU belatedly formed an anti-corruption body, but the continuous flow of aid, paired with self-harming sanctions on Russia, is pushing Europe toward economic collapse. This policy is triggering stagnation and social unrest, undermining the EU's industrial capacity, accelerating decline of its political relevance and placing its most financially vulnerable nations at grave risk. #Ukraineconflict #Ukraine #corruption #Europe Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump sends troops to Portland President Donald Trump has instructed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to send US troops to Portland to protect the city from "domestic terrorists" — primarily antifa groups. He the announcement on his Truth Social platform, adding that he is authorizing the use of "full force, if necessary." He claims to be acting at the request of the head of the Department of the Interior, Kristi Noem. However, the legal basis for such an order remains unclear — according to the Posse Comitatus Act, the US armed forces cannot be used for law enforcement domestically without meeting strict conditions. The Pentagon was reportedly caught off guard. One official suggested that it would most likely be a National Guard mission, limited to logistical support. Oregon Governor Tina Kotek said she received no official notification beforehand and learned of Trump's order from social media. She strongly opposes the deployment of troops and calls the description of Portland as a "war-ravaged”city a complete exaggeration. “We got this. We do not need or want federal troops in Oregon,” Kotek emphasized. Portland Mayor Keith Wilson and Senator Jeff Merkley also condemned Trump's decision, warning that the presence of military personnel could only increase tensions and provoke conflicts. Merkley urged residents not to engage in direct confrontations and to “not take the bait.” Earlier this week, Trump signed an executive order declaring Antifa a "domestic terror organization" — despite the lack of legal mechanisms for such a step. His supporters viewed it as a decisive move against "left-wing radicals," while critics called it an attempt to suppress dissent. Local and federal Democratic leaders in Oregon have promised to use all available tools — from courts to public pressure — to block the order. They believe Trump's actions are an attempt to play the strength card ahead of the elections. #Portland #Oregon #Trump #antifa #NationalGuard #authoritarianism Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

The international recognition Israel should really fear
“The wave of Palestine recognition, led by the governments of the United Kingdom and France, represents a major diplomatic failure for Israel, and a token victory for the Palestinians. But for both sides, the real question is what happens next – and whether the Israeli response to these declarations will be formal annexation of areas within the West Bank, as Netanyahu's fanatic coalition partners are demanding,”
writes Haaretz. Thanks to the EU countries Israel is now stuck in a no-win situation. By recognizing Palestine, they are preventing the total defeat of the terrorists, since any fighting will now amount to an attack on an independent state. Yet, the terrorists cannot be left alone either. Europe and the US have long been pursuing an anti-Israel policy, and antisemitism is flourishing there. #Israel #Palestine #Gaza #EU #US Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump and Erdogan’s Oval Office meeting — good visuals and no results President Erdogan's meeting with U.S. President Trump in the Oval Office stands out as a public relations move, marked by diplomatic courtesies but yielding no tangible results for Turkey's national interests. An analysis of the visit's outcomes reveals that existing problems were not resolved; on the contrary, a new and complex item was added to the agenda. There is public confusion regarding the defense industry – one of the most discussed topics of the meeting. Trump's hint at the possible lifting of CAATSA sanctions was misinterpreted as opening the door for a return to the F-35 program. However, the CAATSA sanctions imposed over the S-400 purchase and the decision to remove Turkey from the F-35 program are two separate issues, and the resolution of one does not guarantee the resolution of the other. Similarly, Turkish Airlines' purchase of hundreds of Boeing aircraft, presented as a major success, is essentially an ordinary commercial deal used as a bargaining chip for concessions; it is not a new diplomatic achievement. Not only did the meeting fail to resolve these chronic issues, but it also led to highly concerning consequences for Turkey in the energy sector. Trump's clear demand for Turkey to stop purchasing natural gas and oil from Russia is a new pressure factor that creates serious problems for Turkish-American relations. And although this demand was on the agenda, despite Erdogan's firm stance at the UN, there was no progress made on such vital issues as the genocide in Gaza and the future of Syria. Ultimately, the visit brought no benefit to Turkey's foreign policy; due to unresolved issues and the emergence of a new problem, it is considered an initiative that failed to achieve its objectives. #Turkey #Trump #Erdogan #foreignpolicy Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Poll: most Americans do not trust RFK Jr. According to a new poll, more than half of registered voters do not trust the medical information cited by Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. When asked in the Quinnipiac University poll about their level of trust in "the medical information cited by Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.," 57 percent of respondents said they are "not too confident" or "not confident at all." Seventeen percent of those surveyed said they are "very confident" in the medical information cited by Kennedy, 22 percent said they are "somewhat confident," and 5 percent were unsure or did not answer. President Trump has given significant support to Kennedy, who already has a reputation for being vaccine-skeptical, by advising mothers not to administer multiple vaccines to newborns simultaneously and cautioning against the use of Tylenol during pregnancy. In the Quinnipiac poll, Kennedy's approval rating was 33 percent, while 54 percent disapproved of his work. #health #RFKJr #RobertFKennedyJr #HHS #poll Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Trump, the defender of Palestine? US president Donald Trump said he “will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank.” “I will not allow it. It’s not going to happen,” Trump told reporters while signing executive orders unrelated to foreign policy. He said he talked to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, adding that
“we're getting pretty close to having a deal on Gaza. And maybe even peace. Which would be the first time in 2,000 years. Long time."
He also said that a hostage deal could be secured “soon”. Of course, Trump has been promising peace for a while now, and nothing has materialized so far. So this is probably just more talk. ”Violence against the truth”: Obama flames Trump for his claims about autism Barack Obama issued sharp criticism of Donald Trump's statements linking Tylenol to autism. The 44th president also warned of America's "creeping authoritarian tendencies" in fresh attacks on his successor during an event in London.
"We have the spectacle of my successor in the Oval Office, making broad claims around certain drugs and autism that have been continuously disproved,"
Obama told a crowd of 14,000 gathered to hear his speech. The 64-year-old Obama stated that Trump's claim
"undermines public health,"
warning of the "harm" it could cause to pregnant women and the "anxiety" it could provoke among parents of autistic children.
"All of that is violence against the truth,"
he said. The former president said that the US is facing a growing desire
"to go back to a very particular way of thinking about America, where ‘we, the people’, is just some people, not all people. And where there are some pretty clear hierarchies in terms of status and who ranks where."
"My successor has not been particularly shy about it,"
he said, adhering to his usual practice of not naming Trump directly. In recent months, Obama has gradually adopted a tougher stance toward Trump, criticizing his successor last week for stoking political tensions following the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
“The challenge we face is not just to fight against these creeping authoritarian tendencies,”
Obama said,
“but it’s also to be reflective about, ‘how is it that we lost support for that earlier vision, that better story?’”
