The Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM) issued a statement regarding the events in Al-Hasakah:
- The right to peaceful expression is legitimate and guaranteed for all; however, defending one's rights cannot be achieved by insulting the identities of other components or attempting to exclude them.
- We warn against attempts by certain domestic and regional factions to exploit the situation, stoke (Kurdish-Arab) tensions, and sabotage the project of building a new Syria.
- We call upon the relevant parties to launch an immediate investigation, hold accountable anyone who has committed crimes against the Kurdish people, and prevent Al-Hasakah from being turned into a conflict zone.

General Security forces are raiding the homes of residents of Al-Suqaylabiyah in the Hama countryside, a predominantly Christian city, assaulting women inside their homes, and arresting around 10 young men from the city, including victims of the attack, while the perpetrators remain unaccountable.

An armed attack was carried out by a number of supporters of Al-Julani, riding motorcycles, against the predominantly Christian city of Al-Suqaylabiyah in Hama Governorate.
The armed men passed through security patrols without being stopped or prevented from entering the city. They then began firing randomly at commercial shops and civilians, resulting in a woman being injured in the Al-Mishwar Road area.
