Interesting fact: The tail is perfect for allowing the feline lemur to keep its balance while sitting on a thin bitch. It also plays an important role in balancing jumps. In social behavior, the striped tail of lemurs is of great importance. If a cat lemur walks on the ground, it keeps its tail upright for better visibility. Male lemurs use their tails to conduct so-called "stink fights". They smear their tail with armpit secretions and stick it out toward their opponent.
