Paul Tudor Jones is one of the most successful hedge fund managers in history. What’s interesting is that he doesn’t spend most of his time thinking about making money.
He spends most of his time thinking about how much he could lose.
His philosophy is simple:
“Play great defense, not great offense.”
In other words… Protect your capital first. The profits will take care of themselves.
It’s a reminder that great traders don’t survive because they’re always right.
They survive because they never let one trade put them out of the game.

One of the biggest shifts in my trading happened when I stopped trying to catch every move.
There was a time I'd open the charts and feel like I had to be in a trade.
If Gold moved without me...I'd jump into NASDAQ. If NASDAQ was gone... I'd look at US30.
Funny enough...
The more opportunities I tried to take, the fewer opportunities I actually executed well.
These days I'm happy to sit there and do nothing until the right setup appears.
Turns out, patience wasn't slowing my progress.
It was accelerating it.

These are the type of trades we aim for at CTG!!!
Something we’ve been learning while building CTG is that you don’t need to have everything figured out before you start.
A lot of what CTG is today wasn’t part of some perfect plan we had from day one.
We started. We learnt. We changed things. We removed things that didn’t work. And we keep improving.
I think people delay so many good ideas because they’re waiting until everything makes sense first.
Sometimes the clarity comes after you start.
Trading taught me that, but building a company confirmed it.
Have a productive rest of the week.
