🇺🇸🤝🇺🇦 — On May 24, 2024 AD, United States Department of Defense announced that Biden Administration approved a New Security Assistance for Ukraine ➡️ US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the package, which was previewed on Thursday by two U.S. officials, “is part of our efforts to help Ukraine repel the new Russia’s assault near Kharkiv.” In Statement, the US DOD said:

➡️ Today, the Department of Defense (DoD) announced a significant new security assistance package to meet Ukraine's critical security and defense needs. This announcement is the Biden Administration’s fifty-eighth tranche of equipment to be provided from DoD inventories for Ukraine since August 2021. ➡️ It is the fifth security assistance package the President has authorized since signing the national security supplemental last month, including three Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA) packages. This PDA package, which is part of our efforts to help Ukraine repel Russia's assault near Kharkiv, has an estimated value of $275 million. ➡️ It will provide Ukraine additional capabilities to meet its most urgent battlefield needs, such as additional precision strike rockets for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), artillery rounds, air-launched munitions, and anti-tank weapons.

German youth are increasingly right wing and the anti-mass migration AfD party is now the most popular among 14 to 29-year-olds, recent polling shows. While this may have an impact at the ballot box — Germany and its neighbours vote in the EU elections in two weeks — it is also emerging in culture. German politicians and media have reacted with outrage several times in the past year as video clips of young people dancing and singing along to a song proclaiming “Deutschland den Deutschen, Ausländer Raus”, ‘Germany for the Germans, foreigners out’, keep emerging.
