getting lost maintaining what you’d had or how Nathaniel Drew masterfully paralleled his experience with the Story of Aquinas
After the weekend of watching no-brainers, I’ve decided to start the week off with my old-forgotten yet still favourite YouTube channel led by Nathaniel Drew
References, vocabulary, grammar and, most importantly, ideas 💡 - everything you could wish for is there
I urge you to check it out if you’re up for shaping your own advanced English🤍

🖼 right now the Museum of Russian Impressionism is showing
“The Zvantseva School. A Laboratory of Modernism”.
The exhibition tells the story of Elizaveta Zvantseva’s private art school in St Petersburg, where teachers like Léon Bakst, Mstislav Dobuzhinsky and Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin shaped a whole generation.
And here’s a lovely bit of English 👇
The museum’s name is built on the word impression - the mark something leaves on you. In English it’s an everyday word:
▪️first impression
the feeling you get at the very start
▪️to make an impression
to leave a strong effect on someone
▪️I got the impression that…
it seemed to me that…
▪️under the impression
believing something (often mistakenly!)
That’s exactly the spirit of a laboratory like Zvantseva’s: you don’t copy the object, you capture the impression of it - how it lands on you, not just what it is.
📍 “The Zvantseva School. A Laboratory of Modernism”
until October 4, 2026 🖼️

For a couple months I’ve been waiting for its appearance on our lovely Yandex Music, and here it is😁😍
What’s your most frequently listened song of the past week?

“listening to podcasts is an easy way to learn English”
😅 Also the podcast:
Edward Jones, is an Australian rugby union coach and former player. He coached the Australia national team from January until October 2023.
Personally, I’m in love with exploring various accents, this time getting to savour Edward Jones’s Australian one 🇦🇺
Is it hard for you to comprehend his speech?
Which variety of English pronunciation is your favourite to listen to?
