According to GRPD, during a traffic stop officers noticed the front-seat passenger was not wearing a seatbelt and repeatedly refused to provide identification. Officers ordered him out, but he continued resisting by bracing himself inside the car with his legs. During the struggle, officers struck the passenger until he exited, injuring an officer who suffered a broken leg and torn ligament.
