Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar made a surprise visit to the APMC Market at Yeshwanthpur. The Chief Minister interacted with farmers, traders and women workers, listening to their concerns. He also shared a plate of idli and had tea with labourers at the market. He inquired whether farmers were stopped by police and asked to pay extra while transporting produce. He then visited onion and garlic shops and spoke to traders about prices and market issues. The Chief Minister also checked garlic quality and personally weighed the produce at a shop. The surprise visit brought smiles to traders and workers at the busy APMC market.

“I would rather die than be called a coward judge.” Judge Diwakar, who was transferred after awarding 22 death sentences, has now sentenced another man Nadeem to death for setting his 23-year-old wife, Shahzadi, on fire during a dispute in 2018. In his judgment, he wrote: “I would prefer death rather than get called a coward judge. Umer Un Nabi, who was killed in the November 2025 Red Fort car blast, was the alleged mastermind and operational in-charge of a revived Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH) terror module, the National Investigation Agency has said in its chargesheet filed in connection with the attack. The chargesheet alleges that Nabi, also known as Pinda and Rahul Bhat, had been working since early 2022 to revive the dormant module and build a network of radicalised persons for carrying out terrorist activities against the Indian State. Nabi was the "operational in-charge" of AGuH Interim, described in the investigation as a revived manifestation of Al-Qaida in the Indian Sub-continent..

Handwara Police received reliable information about the activities of an ex-militant allegedly functioning as a hybrid militant for the banned terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) in the Handwara-Kupwara area. Police, along with 21 RR and 92 Bn CRPF, conducted a joint operation at an identified location in Handwara town and apprehended the accused. The arrested person was identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohd Sultan Bhat, a resident of Kruhmura, Handwara. Chinese-made pistol, two magazines and 16 rounds of pistol ammunition were recovered from his possession during the operation. Bhat is an ex-militant who had previously been arrested in two cases.A case, FIR No. 232, has been registered at Police Station Handwara under relevant sections of law.

A purported suicide note reportedly cited mental and health issues. Mehta served as Delhi’s Chief Secretary from 2007 to 2010 and played a key role in preparations for the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
