Korah’s rebellion, as described in Numbers 16, was ultimately fueled by pride, ambition, and a refusal to submit to God. These three factors encapsulate the essence of the history of the Jews.
Chrysostom argued that the rejection of Jesus was not an isolated incident, but part of a historical, generational pattern. He continuously cited Israel’s rebellions in the wilderness and specifically mentioning the Golden Calf, the constant murmuring, and Korah’s rebellion
